Again, i rarely post and only do so to help you the covers members make a nice chunk of change. I have no idea how the bookies came up with this line. This is purely public perception. I think the public still believes Rutgers belongs in the top 10 and this is why this line is not even. There is no way this line should be 3.5 given the performances last week. The reasons:
1) Rutgers was an absolute disgrace at home in one of the biggest games in team history. Yes it was that big (not bigger than louisville but very very big). They win that game that are #6 in the polls this week and are tied for the lead the big east standings. What do they do? Get mandhandled by a Maryland team who had a backup QB lead them to victory in the second half. Did i mention they had TWO weeks to plan for this team AT HOME. Unreal.
2) Mike Teel the leading passer in the nation before last week based on passer rating? Wow, what a joke. Nice to have Norfolk State on your plate and call a time out before the half while your up 42-0 to pad your stats. Exposed like a cheap prostitute. Dont put your money on this guy
3) Cincy? 5-0 with a newfound offense. If you want to find a reason to bet this team look no further than last year when Rutgers was expected to thrash them (-6.5 away favorites), and with National, Yes, National title hopes and an undefeated record, Cincy embarrassed them on national TV. Rutgers cant handle, nor figure out this team and wont stop this offense.
Believe me on this one, and let me say this, KOAJ who is a Rutgers fan/alum? should be approving this pick, and i will promise you he is very very worried about this game and that tells you alot since he appears to get a ton of views responses on this site.
Guys jump on this line before it dips to 3. +3.5 is an absolutely amazing opportunity given all the letdowns this Rutgers team is capable of with national attention/expectations on them and Schiano.
