A&M is the preseason #3 in the Big 12 South behind OU and Texas.  They are 3-0 with all 3 at home against weak teams. 
My guess is the Miami name is still setting lines more then the Miami reality.  Should be a good game but A&M should win SU.

Under (assume somewhere between 40 and 42) might be the safer play.

I'm no great college footscapper but Texas A&M getting points jumped out of next weeks crowd although I would be more comfortable IF they had played Fresno St better. seemed to lose focus after getting a big lead.

Also, have you checked how the Big12 is doing this year?  They are a very average conference with the exception of Oklahoma.  That preseason big 12 ranking means nothing to me at this point

Look at home A&M has faired in meaningful nonconference games the last few years. If I remember correctly it isn't very impressive (especially on the road). I used to think Franchione was a good coach but living in big12 country and seeing them play a lot the last 3-5 years I'm no longer so convinced. This team is extremely overrated and I really don't expect much out of them this year. I stil don't think Stephen McGee can throw. On the other hand I don't really know much about Miami. I did see them against OU and that certainly wasn't to impressive. Under could be the best play here but don't know what the number is

Good observations, backed up by my favorite stat that I'm spending my whole afternoon posting in every thread related to this game: TAMU last covered a non-conference road game in 1999 vs LaTech.

Miami 9-0 on Thursday night since '00.

Anyone who backs franchione is crazy.

a&m should win this straight up.    don't call me a homer, because I haven't bet on the aggies yet this year.

They played the first two games conservatively, sticking to the run, before practicing the passing game in week 3 ( vs. LA Monroe) to prepare for Miami.  A lot of people are down on A&M for their poor performance against Fresno...   it was  Fran's gameplan to get an easy win using the ground game only, not trying to show too many plays in preperation for Miami.  And yes, it almost backfired on him.   Now Miami only has one film to view of A&M's passing attack, which was last week vs. LA Monroe.  

Stephen McGee only rushed 4 times last week, so he'll be fresh as a fucking daisy.   Anyone that watches the aggies knows that McGee is a gamer ( he never slides).  I was worried about the offense until they actually used a passing attack last week.  Should see a very balanced offense this Thursday.

Canes with Kyle wright will pull this one out in a horrendously ugly game. Would not bet you nickel on it though

Weather looks a little soggy down that way over the next three days.  Chance of showers and storms from the Keys to Ft. Lauderdale late Thursday.

The passing yards are comparable but here is the one statistic that stands out, Rush Yards: Miami 127 vs. A&M 296.  It is going to be raining according to the forecast.  Expect a tight game, low scoring, and A&M to show that ground and pound is back!

Will be keeping track of the forecast and radar at gametime to place the bet.  Last Friday the rain came but they delayed the game due to lightning at Troy.  Different field situation here.  I still got the under but it was the longest game I ever saw.  Maybe Miami and A&M can keep the clock going in this one.
