Nevada cover at Nebraska?

Big spread. Nevada lost Rowe but their QBs are supposed to be both talented. Don't forget the ATS machine Nevada was all year last.

Actually, the loss today of center Dominic Green is huge as he was the anchor to an inexperienced offensive line. I am leaning towards Nebraska as they usually come out like gangbusters on opening day in Lincoln.
 
Nevada will be starting a new quarterback with a replacement center, so that gives the Husker defense a leg up in this one.
 
I think the line is right where it should be.

New defensive coaches but same 3-4 scheme, thus they will take advantage of their great returning linebackers (well great for WAC) Ezra Butler, Jeremy Engstrom, and Joshua Mauga

De'Angelo Wilson was kicked off the team, he was their best corner, now the # 2 is their # 1 senior Devon Walker, his over the top help is Paul Pratt who got burned all last year like an albino in a desert

Nevada has week tackles to protect unproven inconsistent QB...

This spells danger...

Oh, Sam Kellar put on 20 more pounds in off season, sat on sideline all last year digesting playbook.  He is itching to bomb away...

RB Jackson is gone.. no true replacement for his skill...

Callahan re-instated star WR to make Kellar happy...

Big Red rolls... All signs that I see point towards Nevada re-tooling, while  Nebraska is charging for top ten status...

this is a very bad spot for Nevada...yes, they competed with a sub par Miami FL team that was cold as fuck and didn't want to be up in Boise, ID (and had also had their bowl game vs. BC)...now you head to Lincoln where Callahan is a very capable bully...not only is Kellar a stud, but so is Frank Ganz's kid...they are deep at RB and will not let up in this one...
 
if you look at the history of Chris Ault coached football teams, they usually win vs. the teams they are supposed to and struggle vs. the big boys...

Not 1 bit.  They may be looking ahead to Wake Forest though.  I think Nebraska could easily cover this spread. but they should be up by 24-27 points going into the 4th quarter and will bench the starters. Nevada scores in the 4th to be really close to the spread.  I will take Neb if it gets down to -17 or so, but dont see it happenin.  They outta be a great bet in a monster teaser though

nebraska hasnt show the ability to beat decent teams by more than 3 TDs over the last few years. nevada isnt troy or nicholls state and should be able to hang around enough to keep from getting blown out.

I hate Nevada.  They were all smoke and mirrors and has a cupcake schedule last year.  Then they got shallacked by Boise @ home.

Never in my life had I seen one team just get their ass kicked than Boise's butt-kicking of Nevada in Reno

That was an ass kicking, almost as bad as what Michigan did to Notre Dame.

okay I think I have just added Nebraska as a play.  With the loss of their first and now maybe second team center it seems like Neveda will be in for a long day.  There can't be a tougher place to play center than in a pistol offense.  Also it seems like with Bo Rudd and other very fast and experianced LB's Nebraska will be a tough defense to match up against.  If I'm not mistaken Neveda is pretty piss poor agaisnt the run and with Nebraska having one of the deepest running back groups in the country we won't have to worry about who is carrying the ball in the 4th when they are trying to hold onto a cover.  Braska fans correct me if I am wrong, but is this not one of the better teams put together in a few seasons?  I hate trying to cover such a large spread with them, but think I am adding it.

whoaaaaaaaaaa   there big fella.   BJ is in the LEAGUE.

Lucky will have to you know get lucky to get to the league.  He has showed nothing.  Not even a glimps of average-ness.

Now potential is there but he is NOT at this point better than BJ was and I didn't think BJ was all that great.  Too bad Glenn is a wuss or else I would be excited.  I hope these young RBs are good otherwise Keller will have to do it all by himself when Nebbie has to play the heavyweights. 

 

but to the original question.  This is a no play.  BACKDOOR cover danger here. NU's 2nd string D will let Nevada march.

Nevada's top 2 Centers are out for this game.  The starter Dominic Green (out 2+ games) has a broken foot and the backup Kyle Robertson got dismissed from the team after taking a swing at the OL coach.

With top 2 centers out, Nevada turns to 4 untested players

these wild ass picks are making me crazy......WHY ON EARTH WOULD ANYONE CONSIDER NEVADA HERE???  WHAT EXACTLY ARE YOU TRYING TO PROVE ??.....boredom i hope...a nevada team (although great L2Y ATS).....a terrible road dog (latest ault 2-8....10-18 L7..)......gave up 5.6/rush to fresno.....6.6 to n western.....6 to san jose...4 to idaho !....5 to la tech!....<< lose best DL, QB ...best WR and RB.....going  to nebraska !! who lost players but still loaded (OL.....RB and yes QB very good) >>>> attacking D vs young QB in 1st road start!....nebraska also at pivotal point in program and probably will try and make statement....if Keller rusty (probably).....callahan although not great tactician.....smart enough to hand ball off and pound their ass ...GOTTA BE NEBRASKA OR NOTHING.....who knows...nevada might pull HUGE game out of their ass...keller throws 6 INT...and wolf pack covers.....then also why not ...idaho...e mich....uab...ulala.....look real smart if these cover...
