Fresno St is better than SMU offensively: rushing & passing. Fresno St is better than SMU at defending the pass, but SMU is better than Fresno St at stopping the run. SMU's defense has given up a lot of yards this year, but they have created a lot of turnovers also. SMU and Fresno St each have 33 turnovers gained this season. (tied for 3rd with Boise St). IMO, SMU has played a tougher SOS against more teams with balance offenses. SMU is 5th in the nation in Time of Possessions, so I think SMU will be able to control the clock with their running game. I see both teams setting up good offensive drives, but I think the defenses will cause some turnovers to stall those drives. SMU's coach is going back to where he once coached, so I think he's gonna feel right back at home in Hawaii and it will be all business first. Win the bowl game, enjoy the scenery later.
