After winning 7 games in a row (beating Nevada, Air Force, and Boise St. in that span) and winning the Mountain West Conference, San Diego State gets rewarded with a Bowl game at home. The Aztecs main strength is their running game, which ranks 18th in the nation. After QB Ryan Katz went down with an ankle injury, Adam Dingwell has done a good job filling in: throwing for 767 yards 8 tds and 4 ints in 5 games. The Aztecs defense is mediocre at best but plays much better at home, giving up an average of 19.4 pts/game at home. However they can be torched through the air if the opposing team has a good QB and WR corp, BYU doesn't have a good QB. .
BYU's QB Riley Nelson is still not 100% and is expected to play but not start. Backup QB James Lark will start for the Cougars. Lark threw for 384 yards 6 tds 0 ints in BYU's last game, but that was against a very bad New Mexico St. team (they've been blown out in most of their games this season). He'll now face a pumped up Aztecs team in a hostile environment. BYU has won 7 games this season: 6 in blowout fashion and a 3-6 squeaker over Utah St. Don't be fooled by their 6 blowout wins though, they were all against teams with horrible defenses and teams that have been blown out in almost every game. BYU's defense does rank 3rd in the nation, but I think those stats are boosted by the weak teams they've pummeled. BYU's defense can get gashed by the run, like Notre Dame & Boise St. have shown. Or they can be thrown on, like Oregon St. & San Jose St. have shown.
The Aztecs will be looking to achieve their first 10 win season in 35 years. I think San Diego St. will be able to establish their running game and make a couple big plays through the air. As long as Dingwell can limit his mistakes, I see the Aztecs winning this game SU with their defense and rushing attack.

Opp on this one. SDSU main offense is their running game. The strength of BYU is their Run D. You have a 7-5 team vs. 9-3 team and giving points off. Rivalry game. Better SOS with BYU. Taking BYU large on this ninja. @ -3. Will also bet that SDSU will not hit 24pts.. Don't trust Dingwell. Not a good passer.
Good luck on whatever you choose.

Pigskinpicker has the same thought process I do and why I'm willing to take a shot with the home team tonight. Feel better about the under than the side but going to ride SDSU right along with ya Ninja.
Lets go get em.

Unbelievable 4th quarter. I stopped watching the game at halftime to go out drinking with some of my ninjas. I was keeping track of the game on my phone and was thinking it was looking good going into the 4th quarter, but then the only concern I knew that would cost me my wagers happened. Dingwell turned the ball over FOUR TIMES, and two went for tds. And with each turnover, I drank more. Well needless to say, I got wasted last night. Sucks to lose that way. Gotta give credit to BYU's defense & special teams though. The special teams pinned the ball deep in the Aztecs field and their defense forced Dingwell into making mistakes. Congrats BYU backers.
