As far as Boise, we are told every year not to bet them in these games. What do they do every year? They excel in these type games against the big BCS schools. I'm going to play, but as far as the amount goes depends if I win with Washington State next Thursday. |

#5 Posted: 8/15/2012 11:53:53 PM Every year is not this year. They have the fewest returning starters in FBS.
2 years ago they had the most returners and were played even vs VT on neutral field before a last minute TD to win.
Last year they had plenty back, extremely experienced, and beat a young UGA team that wouldn't hit its stride until mid season.

Same for me about Boise. Waiting to see if it hits 8 points. Every forum I have checked out, it seems everybody and their dog are on Mich St. If it stays at +7 I may only play for $100 or so just for the action. I guess people need to check Boise's roster. They have 25 seniors in which 22 are 5th year seniors. They have 17 juniors in which 16 are redshirt juniors. If Wash State wins then I may take those winnings and bet it all on Boise. Peterson is the best coach in the country when he has time to prepare. I know they lost a lot, but I'm sure they got some guys that are pissing vinegar and waiting for their chance.

#8 Posted: 8/16/2012 12:56:20 AM From 06 to last year boise sent 20+ players to NFL, 16 over past two years, that is how you best those teams, this years team has one maybe two players who could get drafted...msu has 6 on their defense alone who will get drafted at some point...boise will have good year cause their in mwc but should lose to msu, byu, maybe smiss, and Nevada...every dynasty comes to end and needs to rebuild |

#9 Posted: 8/16/2012 1:09:40 AM Nickeydyme - I see what your saying. You said 20+ players have gone on to the NFL? How do you think they became NFL players? Maybe Peterson developed those guys? Maybe Peterson developes players as well if not the best in the country? Do you think the coaching staff is just going to stop developing highschool kids that nobody wanted into NFL caliber players? I'm sure they have some guys that will play in the NFL that we haven't ever heard of.

#10 Posted: 8/16/2012 1:58:07 AM I agree but look at the roster, they are seniors and juniors, if they were good they would have been playing already, their talent dropoff this year is big and really no experience which is what they will get this year, so early season losses should make this team strong at end of year, the talent is not there to develop this year, if this was a real premier team, pease wouldn't of left for Florida |

Do you think Florida might pay a little more in salary than Boise? Or is Pease all about winning? Maybe Pease wanted to get out from Petersons shadow? |

#15 Posted: 8/16/2012 10:19:05 AM That's my point, of course he left for better job...boise is household name now like gonzaga is in bball they will continually be respected as long as the coach is there but their darling honeymoon phase just graduated, they are now normal team without the aura they will lose to better teams and beat bad teams like everyone else and have upsets, this game has zero things in their favor, they don't win one matchup battle, msu has not reached their apex yet, they are like boise was couple years ago still because they did graduate a lot but the team is still loaded and dantonio is a top 15 coach, gl though |

May you have a fantastic Season
With you on Boise St.... I am going small on the ML maybe $20-35...
Of your Season Wins Oklahoma is your Best one IMNHO ...
I am vs You on Texas Tech Over 6.5...Good To Disagree ..
Not so Sure about Washington St this season .. Might take Leach 2+ years to get them Bowling Again ... Schedule looks like a 3-1 start... But 0-8 from there on Out is possible .. as the Cougs will likely be the Dog in all 8 Games ... |

#19 Posted: 8/17/2012 11:33:24 AM RonnieBass - I'm waiting and hoping the line hits 8 on the Boise game.
DoubleUp - Good luck this season brother. Yeah I think OU wins 10 or 11 games this season. I am hearing rave reviews on the skill position players. The receivers are better than expected. They are saying Justin Brown (the Penn St. transfer) is a stud! 1st round pick. He's also going to return punts. The OL isn't as big of a problem as the public is making it out to be. They still have 8 kids that can play. I'm not sold on Texas Tech. I think Tuberville is finding out how hard it is to win in West Texas.

#20 Posted: 8/17/2012 12:04:35 PM Disagree with Boise. Petersen is the best coach in college football, but I think its gonna take a couple years to get these new faces ready to be a at the level the BSU program has been. They simply lost too much to replace, especially week 1 on the road. I know there history of coming up big, I just think thats whats keeping this line in check.
Will be on WSU as well, hoping to get 14 or 14.5, and will be on the juicy ML as well....
bol this season

I'd say my Pokes put up a solid 8 wins regular season.
I have OU losing 3 or 4 of these games: @WVU, Texas, @ISU (lovely trap), OSU, @TCU, or @Tech
Not sure which ones, just a tough schedule for a team that isn't as good as the great teams of Stoops' past.
Don't understand how people can compare this team to some of the ones that had Bradford, JWhite, or Huepel. I think comparing it to some Hybl or PThompson teams would even be a stretch.
OSU and OU will both compete for the Big 12, but I don't see anyone in the Big 12 coming out with less than 2 losses.
Shouldn't have given a troll a legitimate response, but there you go.
Stoops kicked off like 3 or 4 WRs, 4 OL aren't playing (2 good, 2 scrubs), no TEs, DL questions, shuffling positions on depth chart, rebuilding an awful secondary at times, haven't had a punt returner/kick returner in years, etc. Too many questions for 11 wins.
Team was in turmoil before the Inight.com bowl last year and looked melancholy during it. Hard to believe the ole mojo is flowing right overnight in Norman.
Not to mention if Landry has 1 bad game, the Bell birds will start singing awfully loud in his ear.
How bad is ISU going to steamroll Tulsa, capper? |
