Early in conference matchup that we do not see too often, anyone got a number on this game at their books so far?

Vandy is getting better, I haven't reviewed SCjr yet but they are not the best at covering big lines much less on the road IN conference and to open the season. Vanderbilt will actually have a nice crowd and they play well at home when they get fans in the stands. I see a Auburn like atmosphere like the 08 game.

actually, these opening thurs night SEC battles have been going on for quite a few yrs now, in espn's attempt to put a real meaningful game on the opening Thurs night of the season

It has usually been SEC vs ACC or something, in 09 it was SCjr vs NC State and then Bama vs Clemson the year before that and then against VT the next year in Atlanta. I don't remember many SEC match ups in the very first games on Thursday.

Bama v Clemson was a Saturday game in 2008, but you're right -- there haven't been many SEC games on the first Thursday.  LSU at Miss St in 2007 is the only one in the last five years.  USC, MSU, Vandy, and maybe another school or two have played non-conference games recently on the first Thursday.

yes, you're right. my bad.  i was thinking of 8 or 10 yrs ago when south carolina opened at vandy.  i thought they had those a few yrs where on opening thurs it was SEC.  anyway, not important, just a dumb little pt i was trying to make.  good catch.

the most important thing is the betting angle of it

i will be betting on Vandy +10, aaron rodgers' little brother, home live dog, and improving team returning 15 total starters (O and D)

don't know what ya'll see in a qb that throws 9 TDs and 10ints in his junior year...im i missing anything??? When Shaw play 7-8 games as a red shirt freshman and throw 17 TDs and 6 ints
