Tappy, you act like you actually play for Bama....they won the NC game, we get it......let it go and take 7-8 months off before you create another "we da best!" Bama thread about your horrid offense and how you're going to win 10+ more championships.

Saban ran Meyer's out the SEC i doubt Meyer's is anybodys daddy but his own kids....

This is correct.

After getting thoroughly dominated by Alabama in the SEC Championship game, Meyer knew his run in the SEC was over.  Saban had completely solved his offense, and he knew his program was on an umpromising trajectory.  He knew that there was really no real hope of him ever winning the SEC again as long as Saban was coaching at Alabama.  He feigned illness (which I correctly called him out on the day he made the announcment and then later retracted) so he could bail out of what he knew was a sinking ship - his sinking ship - while still saving face.

Meyer rode Tebow's coattails to a nice little run, but once Saban figured out how to stop his offense, he knew it was only a matter of time before the other defensive coordinators in his division copied Saban's template.  We saw the results in 2010 when Alabama held them to 6 points, Mississippi State held them to 7, South Carolina 14 and Florida State 7.

Saban effectively ended Urban Meyer's reign in the SEC, and he wanted out before his winning percentage and coaching legacy were completely marginalized.  The whole "feel sorry for me because I'm sick" was a media ploy too preseve his brand name and his coaching leagacy.

Florida Athletic Director Jeremy Foley conceded as much by hiring Saban clone Will Muschamp, who he brought in to relegate Meyer's sissy offense to the scrap heap.

Meyer is an outstanding recruiter so he'll probably have some success in the Big 10.  But if he continues to run his sissy offense, he'll never beat another top-tier SEC team, and he knows it.
