. . . that Boise State offensive coordinator Brent Pease has been offered the offensive coordinator position at Alabama.  I would assume he'll accept.

Sounds good to me... I would prefer someone with more of a NFL coaching background, but his body of work at Boise speaks for itself.

Crusher... Our current OC will be there for the NC game. He would be a moron not to try to be the OC for the National Champions.

I would be excited about this hire if I were a "Bama fan.

Meanwhile as a Vol fan I'm mourning the loss of Boise State's ex-DC Justin Wilcox who is leaving Knoxville for UW.News is that he will be replaced by Randy Shannon,which is very intriguing to me.

I don't think that the best coach in college football needs any help personally... I think we would do better off with him, than anyone else at this point. He has worked with the offense, and implemented that system with them all season long. To bring in an outsider with no experience with our system, wouldn't be very effective.

I also thought it would be worth mentioning that both Auburn and Florida are also pursuing Pease for their open offensive coordiator positions.

Kerwin Bell and Brian White have also been mentioned as possible replacements for Charlie Weiss at Florida.  It seems like Bell has a lot of support from the Gator fan base.

I guess anyone who would want to actually play in a national championship, rather than get looked over because of the weak ass conference they play in.

Both Florida and Alabama seem confident in Pease becoming the next OC for their program.  Should be interesting.  Sounds like whomever he signs with will be very Pease'd to get him.

I'm sorry, but Alabama has to be more appealing than Florida right now... Especially with the whole Weiss thing, and how crappy they were this season.[
