To be honest, I don't think it was his fault. Needed the first down but the freshman was just excited to score. If it was a senior he would have went down.

Classless is kicking a meaningless FG that has no affect on the game.  100/100 coaches do the same thing in the same scenario.  Sorry your on the wrong side of the game hoss.

You don't have a clue. I am a coach. I've been in huddles before. If you dont want the kid to score, you tell him to go down. I've heard it down before

Hoss? Seriously? Had they not scored there, then did he get the right side bro? Wow.

So much for those Iowa defenders playing it to the end for their piece of garbage diabetic coach. Lie-down losers and their turd coaching staff. Call time out so you can lie down ? I hope they all.........mothers

It was 4th down and less than a yard. They just wanted to pick up the first down so they could take a knee and run the clock out but when he broke through the line no one was there to tackle him so he scored. Stoops wasn't trying to run the score up. Just one of those fluke plays that happens sometimes. Iowa had just used their last time out. If he is tackled they take a knee.

So take the first down and take a knee. Not a TD. Simple as that. Nothing more. Even if they didn't get the first down, Iowa would have taken a knee too. Game was over man.

If he kneels its a turnover on downs.  4th and 1 with a chance to end game and you think he told his freshman QB during the timeout "hey bid get the first down and slide!" blame Iowa for not tackling him.  Don't post some BS about I'm a coach and blah blah blah.  You ever coaches in college in a bowl game?  If you bet Iowa you were lucky to have a chance to cover given oklahoma took the night off on offense for almost 15 mins.  Get over it and move on to tomorrow.  Plenty of opportunity to recover then.

Not Stoops fault he wanted the first down to end the game. Had he chosen to taken a knee then it would have been Iowa' ball. If you want to blame someone then it would probably have been Bell/Jones. Had Jones converted on the 3rd down then the game would have been over. Instead he was a yard short and Bell runs through for a TD.

Yes as a football coach, I tell him to get one yard and the game is over. Simple.

Your a moron right? If they take a knee on 4th down then they turn the ball over on downs. Get a first down and win the game.

In response to post 7, they needed the first down NOT the TD, but it just so happens he had a free path to the endzone.

Say sooners kneel it on 4th n 1 n turn it over with 2 min left, I'm sure u have seen a team drive down the field in 1 min, then all it takes is a converted onside and Iowa would be in position to win game in final seconds.

Every coach would run it there on 4th down with a mere 10 pt lead, this isn't basketball.
