Week 5

Took it on the chin a little last week in the record department but still finished ahead with some of my bigger plays.

YTD   18-15-1   +11 Units   1 Unit = 100

First play of the week locked in -

West Michigan  vs  Uconn

Western Michigan +3  =  5 Units

My biggest play of the year to date. This is a total fade to a horrible UConn Offense. 17 vs Buffalo? Totally inept against Iowa St at home? The Quarterbacks look lost and Western Michigan has shown me alot with the defense this year. Against Michigan the West Mich offensive turnovers really cost them 14 points but held them in check for most of the game. They also did a fine job against Illinois last week. They did need a 4th and 1 stop at the 1 but controlled a very good Illini offense for most of the game. I cannot see Uconn scoring more then 13 points in this game. That means I will need a TD and a FG out of Western Michigan (against a good UConn Defense) to cover this small spread. I will be on the under as well which I see at 44 but hoping I can find 45 somewhere before kickoff.

Week 5 Card is a Big One -

Just alot of leans for some reason this weekend.

Northwestern / ILLini

Over 51 = 3 units

Persa Back should help Northwestern and both defenses leave alot to be deisired. I originally thought about NW getting 10 but that defense makes that risky.

Cinci / Miami OH

Cinci -14.5 = 1 Unit

Cinci Offense cannot be stopped. I do worry about a backdoor cover so I may buy the half point but I think Cinci takes this by 20.

Baylor / K State

Baylor -3.5 = 2 Units

Just do not see how anyone can stop RG3. Kansas State has a solid defense and that is why I think we got this low number. Baylor will score 30+ and I do not think Kansas State can keep up.

GTech / NC St

GTech -10 = 3 Units

Have you seen the yellow jacket offense? Better yet, did you catch the NC State Defense last Thursday Night?

West Mich / U Conn

West Mich +3 = 5 Units

Marshall / Louisille

Marshall +11 = 2 Units

I liked some thing out of Marshall last week vs Virginia Tech but this has more to do with Louisville. This offense is not good enough to give up 11 to anyone and a letdown spot after knocking off Kntucky last week.

Auburn / South Carolina

Over 60 = 2 Units

Auburn Can Score. And they like to let the other team score!

San Jose St / Col State

San Jose +4 = 1 Unit

Fading Colorado State here after an emotional comeback win last week. If they win this is will be a close one. I will take the points.

Clemson / V Tech

Over 51  =  1 Unit

Small play on the over here as there are gamebreakers all over the field in this one. I think we see at least 2 50+ yard TDs in this one.

Texas / Iowa State

Texas - 8.5  =  3 Units

I like the horns with a compentent QB out there. A game manager that will let the athletes do there thing and no lose the game. I think Texas takes this by 20. Just to many athletes for a so far very lucky Iowa State team to handle.

Washington / Utah

Wash +10 = 3 Units

Homer Pick to start and then to my suprise it jumps to 10 this morning. The Huskies will score. The huskies will let the other team score but this one will come down to a last posession. The dawgs know this is a make or break game. It will mean the difference of possibly 6-6 to 8-5. I also see utah getting a little to much love after killing a BYU team that gave up the rock like 5 times.

UW / Utah

Over 55 = 1 Unit

See above, the huskies will score. So will Utah

Alabama / Fla

Bama -4 = 2 Units

That Defense is incredible. Florida will move the ball a little but I think they will find it hard to find the end zone. Florida D is no slouch either but I think labama and that rushing game find the end zone when they close. That will be the difference. Bama 24 Fla 13

Bama / FLa

Under 45 = 1 Unit

The athletes scare me a little on offense and I think we see a defensive score in this game so going small.

Wisky / Nebraska

Wisky -10 = 2 Units

The only difference here is Russel Wilson and his ability to throw. Martinez does not have that luxury. Plus they playin this in Camp Randle. That place will be going crazy. And check out junp around when they enter the 4th quarter. That place is going to be nuts. Wisky will salt this away with run game or a 38 - 21 final

Fresno / Ole Miss

Fresno -3.5  = 3 Units

I do not like Ole Miss. They are terrible. Plus Fresno is a tough place to play and especially when you are flying from the central time zone to play a 9:15 west coast game.

Ucla / Stanford

Ucla +21.5  =  3 Units

I like this play alot. UCLA got a win last week and this will help with confidence. They have athletes! I think Stanford wins this game but I think they do it Ugly. Stanfor 27 Ucla 17

Good luck everyone with the plays this week. I just got tired writing all of these but I think this a make a move weekend and alot of good lines out there this week. Plus I have always had my best luck rioght a rounf this time of the year. I feel like I have had a chance to see everyone I am playing run a gmae and hope it pays off.
