Starting today, I'll be hosting a thread to discuss one of the big football games for the week.
Feel free to stop by and discuss the game with me. You could find some great information to beat the books, or maybe some fade material to pocket some cash.

I'm 100% square tonight.
Most trends point to LSU winning regardless of the rowdy crowd will be. I took the Tigers early in the week at -3, and I've found new reasons to hate the pick since then. David Payne's blog on Les Miles SEC ATS record didn't help.

#9 Posted: 9/15/2011 7:27:31 PM I've gone back and forth all day Vibo. I settled on MSU when the line went up to 4.5. Why do you like LSU so much? |

#10 Posted: 9/15/2011 7:29:02 PM Yeah, good point SJP. I don't usually go too nuts over trends but that one is pretty hard to ignore - especially for a winning team. |

If the LSU run defense comes to play partnered with a steady offense, then I can definitely see a double digit win.

It symbolizes bravery. Not many people are willing to display their LeBron James fanhood after his performance in the Finals last season.
Or maybe it symbolize stupidity. Who knows.

One week, I'm going to wager the minimum on every game on the board just to say I did it.
It's on my Bucket List.

Have to like the Tigers here as well regardless of Miles ATS record. The LSU defense looked pretty good vs. a very good Oregon attack, and I will jump on the MSU wagon once they prove they can win a big game. LSU plays these type of big games all the time, and will be ready tonight..
Regardless of the outcome, LSU is the right side of this one...

#18 Posted: 9/15/2011 7:39:50 PM A little off topic here Sarah but Rocky IV and Top Gun are on back to back right now on AMC, two of the finest Cold War propaganda films of all time. I don't consider myself a geezer but they're a little before your time. Have you seen them and do you have a favorite line? |

As a diehard Ducks fan, even I believe MSU's running attack is more fit to give LSU problems. Oregon lacks power running with their spread attack.
With that being said, I expect LSU's defense to give MSU's offense fits.

My book has LSU currently at -3.5, and the moneyline at -165. That's pretty steep for a moneyline!
I considered buying the hook earlier in the week and making it LSU -2.5.

#25 Posted: 9/15/2011 7:49:16 PM Haha! Fair enough.
Hasn't been much over/under talk yet. I know the SEC has been scoring some points this year, but 49 seems high to me. Expecting this one to be a scrap. |
