Local offering me Auburn -4 (-120)

I go to school at the University of Alabama and usually the local has sharp lines.

Not sure what to do because in Tuscaloosa I feel like a lot of people are taking Oregon just because they dislike Auburn that much and seeing that +4 (+100) would only make that more enticing.

I have no idea why my local is still offering that number unless they are that confident in Auburn winning, because I know they aren't getting slammed with Auburn action.

Prior to seeing this I was really liking Oregon, but the line is starting to make me think Cam is going to play as usual.

Should I take the value with getting the +4 with Oregon or is there anything to read into with the local posting that high of a number??

take the +4, most places Oregon is only +1.5

basically you're getting 2.5 free points.

Maybe my book was educated at Auburn because if you buy Auburn down to -3 its at (-150) and the moneyline listed for Auburn is at (-135)

What is going on??

A book in Alabama knows he will get heavy Auburn action. Probably is making those bettors pay a "premium". Can't imagine too much Oregon action.

If the line on Auburn is falling in other places, that also could be to sucker in aditional Auburn money. Just because a line falls in a big game does not necessarily mean there is big action on the other side. Who knows ????

Either take the free middle shot, or take an alt line on Auburn -4. 5dimes has Auburn -4 at +150. With Oregon +4 at even, and Auburn -4 at +150, you can lock in a pretty decent profit right away. That, or the middle opportunity.

But one of these MUST be done or else you just don't like money.

shouldnt thread read local offering you oregon at + 4,,auburn at - 4 is not a great buy as im sure you know

oregon +4 at even money would be hard to pass up, I wouldn't let your local's line change your mind, what does he know that no one else does? If anything take advantage of his way off line, then take auburn at the best price available online. and hope to middle, good luck

your local is like my local and when he bumps the line up he is begging me for that underdog money ........... so I would take aurburn ..........Im gonna take Aurburn ....

Your local is clearly enticing you take the Ducks at that line. Don't fall for the trap as my local has done this before. Auburn is the play even at -10.

I don't know if he is really trying to get me to bet Oregon as much as he is trying to catch as many Auburn backers.

ML is -135 and +115, but if I buy Auburn down from -4 (-120) to -3 its listed at (-150)!!!

Why would there be such a disparity between laying the points and taking the moneyline? Can he really be on to something?

Who would lay 3 points at (-150) when you could get them to win the game at (-135)?? I feel like if he really thought Auburn would win, the moneyline would be much higher.

you guys are waaaay off here. his local is from Bama and obviously iis anticipating on getting slammed with AUburn money which is why the line is high. If you are advocating that the OP should take Auburn -4 please please stop. Win lose or draw it is a TERRIBLE bet. Only choice is take Oregon +4 or dont bet. GL

Seeing that you are from California, I can guarantee that your football would not stand up to either Auburn or Alabama 

I can think of 13 reasons why Auburn will never be Alabama.
