It's Now OREGON Takin' on the South

LSU Tigers looked like the Harlem Globetrotters out there. Aggies looked stupefied and were quitting before it started. But a Texas team is yet another "southern team."

Alabama dismantled a decent BIG 10 school (this was most impressive but not surprising).

Arkansas nearly caught OSU sleeping in the 2nd H (outcoached and out-QB'd but still mad a game out of it). They looked better in defeat than OSU did in victory.

All the marbles now. The Big One is on Monday. Your Auburn Tigers will be wearing "Confederate Red and Blue and is the "Best Team in the SEC." You also have the "Best Player in College Football." You are favored to win. The SEC has won four in a row...and counting.

The physicality of the players coming from the southern states is almost an unfair breeding ground--and they are well-coached in their high schools. Cam Newton is an unbelievable specimen, and Nick Farley is unreal. Are they "superhuman?"

Auburn, Alabama, Florida, Arkansas...

But I believe Oregon can beat you at your own game (speed=physicality; passing and catching=physicality). Even if Oregon wins it, you have earned RESPECT.The SEC will be right there again, and probably LSU the pre-season favorite to win it all in 2012 with most of their players coming back. LSU is my choice after getting my ass handed to me in the Cotton Bowl (I'm wearing wool right now).

But afterwards the nation would PLEASE like to see some more travelling from the SEC teams and showcase it to other regions. Come out west. Go up north. Stop hiding your "secrets" until Bowl season. You are "National Champions" so then ACT like it and showcase to the nation. Why has LSU, Florida, Alabama not been travelling?

...couldn't ONE of those games been against a Mtn West, PAC 10, BIG EAST or ACC team?

I know it's yet another 'Civil War' with the "them Nawthenaws" from Oregon and your "Sawthen boys" in blue and red. But let's agree to keep it civil. It's just a football game.

Case in point, DUKE and North Carolina at least are "ambassasors" for the sport of college basketball, and they have scheduled teams from other parts of the country. They've travelled to Maui, they've scheduled ACC vs BIG 10, and they've played home and aways with teams from the PAC 10 and BIG 12.

In the age of this BCS bullshit that has fans fuming, it would be great for the sport to see y'all out here (wherever that may be)--north or west.

Just havin' fun--it's the last post this season. Gonna have fun. Oh yeah.

While I applaud Oregon for playing a down Tennessee team early in the season they will get no credit from me for outscoring New Mexico St. and Portland St. 141-0. Talk about scheduling shitty competition. 

I lost money on it, too. Guess when we lose it winds up being a guess.

Let's hope they don't "re-schedule" but, yes, ;Alabama 2009 Champions' were awesome (and I was a fan and a bettor on them that year), and good to see them start the "nationwide" tour--for a change.

But seems to me they have been all "Cam Newton" for weeks on end.

I'm on the East coast and tough to see them play. The  games I've seen tell me Auburn is in for a long night, with pressure on each block, pass and tackle.

Not normally a good sign.
