SMU -7 ???? need to have my head examined after seeing this line!
Kansas St. +1 better team and coach
North Carolina -1 looking for a bowl win, lost last two
Washington +14 how can Nebraska even be motivated to play against a 6-6 team they whooped earlier in year. This was a lack of respect for coach Pelini, so they gave him this matchup!

why do u care about the line.....this bowls had huge swings...in some of them and in most..the favs have covered the spread by way more the line .... ill give u an example of line movement like the one u just talk about....OKLAHOMA ST...was like 6-7 pt fave in some places even more and by game time ended in -4 ..at the end...they butt fucked AZ..or maryland that won by 31pts....the bottom line is .... if u have followed most of the games or at least reviews or watched replays ..... u must now by now if a team can match up another cuz..as u can see.... faves are just crushing dogs ... not in all games like NCST ... but ..faster..more athletic teams .. are just stomping on good Ds ...and over teams that just cant keep up the pace in a shoot out

Motivated, yes. And disciplined and focused, these are West Point cadets. And the home field advantage wont mean as much as people think. There will be plenty of army supporters there. Its the bell helicopter armed forces bowl for christsakes

The holidays just ended and Army trains all year long. SMU players on the other hand could be caught napping and if Army is able to sustain their ground attack and control the clock then each TD and FG will be at a premium. The one thing army can NOT do is play catch up ball if they get down by say 17 or 21 pts early.
Army has to shorten the game and to do this MUST control the ball and keep the clock running while scoring at least a few TD's... Just FG's will get them no where in the end.
I've liked June Jones and have followed Hawaii since his EARLY Hawaii days but as a Vet will be rooting, as usual, for my Army Black Knights to beat his new school.
Go Army-ML hopefully... +7 at worse. ![]()

there are a couple of reasons why Army is only a 7-pt 'dog.
1) Army is a disciplined team that runs the triple option, a tough offense to handle, ESPECIALLY if you don't defend against it on a regular basis.
2) SMU isn't all that. They don't have the explosive offense June Jones is known for. That bodes well for Army because as Skubishack pointed out, the Black Knights' key to victory is to shorten the game, ground 'n pound.
3) In Bowl games, the service academies are like 22-10 ATS ...that number may be off, but the point is they do well against the number in bowl season. Players for Army, Navy and Air Force, they usually get up for bowl season. This past success may also play into the line not moving from the key number.
Couple other things...
SMU's win over Nevada in last year's bowl shouldn't carry that much weight. Nevada was playing without its top RB and another starter, and the team totally phoned it in.
Motivation is all on Army's side. SMU's players have been vocal about not being happy about staying home for their bowl game. This is Army's 1st bowl in 14 years; how can THEY NOT be more motivated than the Mustangs??
I'm gonna roll the dice and take the points with Army. 'Dogs are due to have their day in the bowls; i think today is it.
BOL to everyone...
