When Does Bill Stewart Get Fired?

Like clockwork Gino gives Ryan Clarke a horsehit handoff on the 2 yardline. Clarke a 255 back who probably gets limited touches out of the I with Gino shouldnt be in the game after 5 straight handoffs. Bye Bye Bill Stewart! You just lost to UConn for the first time in the history West Virginia football and alienated Noel Devine who sat on the bench in OT.

Good riddance!

And thats on the coaching staff to light their fire and motivate them. After getting shut out at home...they go on the road against and incompetant UConn club and lose. NOT EXECPTABLE.

Terrible play calling from the O-coordinator. Terrible game management. Terrible rotation of the backs. Clarke should of gotten more touches in the 2nd half....and honestly he shouldnt have been in the game after his 2nd first down in OT. He's a 3rd down back. Now they have alienated Devine and Im sure he's unhappy. No way do you not put Devine back into the game on the 2 yardline. If he gets stuff....ONLY THEN do you put Clarke back in

But he was the one who CONTINUALLY put the ball in the hands of their worst offensive player Gino Smith. That kid is NO good. he is not built for the spread offense. Either they put someone else in or adjust their offense to a more passer friendly offense. Also their LT is pretty bad. Why keep going 5 wide and having him struggle all game. Keep a TE in to help. The little things that make Bill Stewart awful dont catch the avg joe's eye. But as a guy who has played Big Time college ball, have numerous buddies who have coached or played in the NFL. Its not hard to spot a bad coach and staff and Bill Stewart is one of them.

Also Noel Devine should of been in the game after Clarke had ran 4 or 5 straight times. Clarke gets 2 touches in teh 4th and all of a sudden you ask him to carry the ball 6 straight times. RIDICULOUS

Your're right its NOT just the coach...but thats the problem. The players dont respond to these coaches so its time for a change. They are not giving Bill Stewrt the same energy they did when they beat OU 3 years ago. And Bill Stewart OBVIOUSLY doesnt motivate these kids enough to play hard. I honestly dont blame them. He's an AWFUL coach who has NO business being a Head Coach.

After this game I doubt you see WV as more than a FG fav. They just lost Noel Devine for the season by benching him in OT...that wont go over well with him IMO. Bill Stewart just created new problems for himself. And I doubt Vegas drops the ball on putting them as very low favs or DOGS for the rest of the season. This is NOT a good team in ANY SENSE.

 If WV fires Bill Stew before 2011 they owe him $2.475 million. Just a terrible contract/buyout clause for an unproven coach. The worse thing that could of happened to the WV program was beating OU in 2007. They look like they are handcuffed with this guy for some time.

Well WVU has a new coach in waiting next year and Bill will bow out after the 2010-2011 season

I will give him props for winning the last 4 games in convincing fashion. But losing to UConn cost his school a BCS bowl berth. Would of loved a rematch between OU and WV but we'll have to settle for the beatdown of UConn.
