Does anyone else have this game capped to go Under the total?
I have projected UCLA to put up 253 yds of total offense and Oregon to put up 439 yds of total offense with a 37-16 final. I think it's the only way to play this one, as I think the spread will be up in the air until late in the 4th qtr.
Any thoughts are appreciated. Good luck to all.

Ducks QB situation is up in the air, so no telling how this game goes. Only thing I do know , is Oregon has USC on deck, away. Don't see this team spending, "needless energy" against UCLA if one of the only games that can derail their undefeated season is next. Trend this year has been for the Ducks to step on the gas pedal 2nd half, but if they have a 3 td lead going into the final period, can't see them playing for style points and getting anyone hurt. Early lead, bring in the reserves, and give Wazzu the backdoor cover. Wazzu might be the door mat of the PAC 10, but have been playing better as of late. Cashed last week backing them, and will go back to the well once again this week. Think that Oregon has their eyes on the big prize, so this game is basically a scrimmage, and a chance for minutes for everyone. Why would you open up your playbook to give "Kiffin the Dope" any recent film to watch. Lord knows he's not smart enough to look at the games they had to play hard in, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. Ducks 37 Wazzu 17. BOL

Have you seen Oregon play they may cover the over themselves. Can UCLA stop this team, I know UCLA can't score on space
Yeah, I've seen them play, but I'm not basing this game on perception or feeling; I'm basing it on the stats. And I have Oregon putting up 37, and that's even taking in account blowout wins against New Mexico and Portland State. Yes, Oregon is explosive...just playing the numbers. Good luck, though.

Took the words from my mouth. I would not be surprised at all with the Ducks really embarrassing UCLA something like 63-10
Just curious, why would you not be surprised to see Oregon put up 60+ points...Thursday night game at home..new number 1 ranking? Just curious? Thanks, and good luck.

We have three guys who think Oregon will cover the total by themselves...that's scary. UCLA isn't the Pittsburg Steelers, but they also aren't the freaking school for the blind. "This is Division I football" You guys should consider the alternate line Oregon -55 @ +155

Fair question... I will tell you my thinking. You talk about stats plenty. I don't think much of any sports gambling is about stats so much. If so there would be computer programs that keep winning. Well there is always someone wanting to sell you a number cruncher, but it never works.
College football especially is about motivation and the intangibles. Oregon has it on their side in this game. But they just make #1 in the AP? Yes they did, who cares. The only poll that anybody is giving any attention to this week forward is the BCS ranking. Andt trust me these Ducks are plenty aware of all of that after last year. They got slighted by the BCS ranking being behind Oklahoma, and they will use that as a battle cry to show the world just how explosive they really are. If you watched how they dismantled Stanford a few weeks back, you know what I mean. Stanford is actually maybe the 2nd best team in the country imo, and they absolutely destroyed them after being down 14. That stadium they play in is freaking loud and they have rabid fans. They will have a captive audience on national TV, they will take full advantage.
That is my point. Stats? c'mon the stats don't matter, and rarely do

I agree that intangibles are very important factors for picking the "right" side of a game. However, when picking totals, stats are usually a better indicator of future performance. I definitely think Oregon will be fired up, but a motivated team doesn't automatically = more points. And the adrenaline rush you see teams playing with usually wears off by the 1st qtr and it just becomes another game. Just my two cents. Good luck.

The under looks good, I don't know why considering how explosive Oregon is on offense, but it just seems like overall they should stay under the number. But I think the best play in this game might just be Oregon -14, 1st half. UCLA is NOT Stanford, and this is a totally different game. It's Oregon at home on a Thursday night when all eyes will be watching. Keyword.....HOME, the Ducks are a different beast at home, UCLA could very well get the backdoor cover, but I'm guessing Oregon will be up pretty big at half. GL
