What's up with everybody on Hawaii?

Need some help here fellas....are alot of people on Hawaii because of the travel involved for Nevada, or is it that everybody thinks Hawaii stays within this spread? give me some insight...haven't watched the Rainbow Warriors this year but have watched Nevada put up numbers with the pistol....what gives?

1.  Nevada never won in Hawaii
2.  Nevada is ranked 96 against the pass this year and was 120th against the pass last year and 120 against the pass the year before that.  They really haven't played any potent offenses yet.
3.  Hawaii has 11 scoring offense in nation and is number 1 passing offense this year.  21-5 td/int ratio, and averaging 9 yards per attempt
4.  Hawaii at home is always tough
Nevada will light up Hawaii's d but Hawaii will do the same thing to Nevada d.  Game could go either way so that's why people would just grab the 7 points.

thanks for the insight...but has anybody looked at the fact the Hawaii has Boise St the next week? I know they can't ahead of themselves...the winner of this game will be the team that challenges Boise St for the confernce title i think...I know they throw the ball all over the place...tough pick....might wanna stay away from it

Hawaii shouldn't be looking ahead.  Ranked team coming in to Aloha Stadium will get them focused.  The two slots for Hawaii are just amazing if you haven't seen them play yet.  They rank 1 and 6 in receptions, 1 and 3 in yards, and 2 and 5 in rec tds.  Hawaii will be excited to play Nevada at home...  Then they'll get crushed at Boise.

I'm going to play Hawaii.  Would be a bigger play but I know what Nevada will do to the Hawaii defense.  Probably a 2 unit play.  We'll see.  But I do believe that the straight up outcome of the game is 50/50.

might stay away from it...my initial lean was BIG on nevada watching them run roughshot on California and BYU...you might have just very well scared me away from this one though...what do you think about WVU -13.5, and what's your lean on the AF/SDSU, South Carolina/Kentucky, Ohio State/Wisc, and Utah/Wyoming games?

no opinion on any of those games except ohio state.  don't know why people hate on them, they were 9-3 or 9-4 ats last year and are 4-1 ats this year.  hopefully line drops some more.

Hawaii does not have Boise next week! Hawaii travels to Utah State.  The only way I see Nevada winning by two touchdowns is if Hawaii somehow kills themselves.  If Moniz is off, then I can see Nevada running away with it.  But! If you've seen the way this team is steaming as of late, you would know why peeps are taking the 7.5 pts.  Live dog situation, but I think Hawaii may lose by a FG. 

BTW, in my humble opinion, this is Nevada's first real road test.  They have to travel over 3k miles to an inviting environment w/mopeds and mai tais.  Oh yeah, and a crowd of over 40k plus Hawaii fans that will pack the stadium this saturday night. 

Sadly I have my cousins wedding to attend.  I will be handing over my season tix to my lucky friend.

I'll be unloading on the WARRIORS! At home, spread should be below a touchdown, hot offense, covered 4 of 5 ats, Nevada hasn't won on the island in forever, as a I-A school Nevada has never won 7 in a row!
Keep it Simple and Green! Warriors will be the best pick for guys who got crushed earlier in the day. E-Z!!!!

Hawaii + 7 for me,,seems like the first numbers I saw were around 8.5 so may have missed out on the value

don't forget that hawaii lost to nev only 21-31 last yeat AT nevada.  this year they play at home and hawaii is much better this year.

i gave hawaii no respect against USC.  not gonna make the same mistake on this one.  hawaii +7  i believe they win outright on this one.  gonna pound the crap on the over too

I with with 808 above...I was all over USC against Hawaii and they showed me something in that game.  They are always tough at home, Nevada has not won there I dont believe, long trip for them, and really, they were not real impressive last week when everyone was pounding them to a non cover.  I will grab the TD and likely play over as well...they are both going to score quite a bit imo...

Not to mention how undiciplined they looked against San Jose St last week, and how good Hawaii looked on the road against Fresno St. Hawaii will be more focused for this game.

Neither team has an offense.  So basically, it comes down to a shootout.  I'll take my chances with the home team. GL!

Nevada hasn't won on the island in forever, but Nevada never has had a team this good either.
