Not sure what kind of info you guys have recieved on this, but I went to Texas Tech. The word is he is being suspended due to mistreatment of a player following an injury. Adam James (son of ESPN analyst Craig James), recieved a concussion and was locked in a "shed" under Leach's direction. Here's the link guys:

I coached high school hockey for three seasons, and quit b/c of parents who constantly "nagged" over why their son did not see more ice time. I even had some rumors started about me playing favorites for kids who were from one youth program over a rival youth program. I got out before I had to deal with stupid shit like this, but I have seen it happen to friends and colleagues, and it is sickening what lengths parents are willing to go to to promote their son's god-given right to pro sports.
Hard to believe Leach "locked him in a shed" - sounds to me like the kids wasn't playing enough, and when he found an excuse to get back at coach, he took it.
who knows what really happened, but I have already formed my opinion... parents always think their kid is the next Lebron James or Adrian Peterson, and they will do just about anything when they think he/she is getting screwed out of playing time. Scary.

nice point dyameric... just cause its been writ in print or in the media, dont make it gospel... however; the one thing that we can be sure of is that it will affect the team. In this situation (no matter what the real story be) I think the most likely affect is detrimental (as opposed to a rallying cry)

Leach was a very vocal supporter of Mangino during his tribulations earlier this month. ![]()
