What did Les Miles do? I missed the whole thing...

Lord knows I hate this fucker - love his dopey decisions - can someone please explain what happened?

Stopped on 3rd down making 4th and 20+ clock running 27 seconds when play stopped...Let's clock run down to 9 seconds before calling timeout.

Convert 4th down and when stopped Only 1 second leftwith no timeouts. Then allows jefferson to ground ball. Game over

He let the clock run down to 9 sec before calling their final timeout on 4th and 26. Hail marry completed inside the red zone with one sec left, but of course his special team was not even ready to get on the field. Then to top things off, his high IQ qb goes and spike the ball to end the game.

If there was only 1 sec left - there is probably no way to get the FG team in time in to the game before the sticks are set.

I get the part about not calling TO on 3rd down, but the last play seems like he had no choice.  Am I getting that right?

You would think that.  However they gave Jefferson time for a last snap, but of course he goes and spikes the ball ending the game.

Should've seen Miles explaination at the end of the game with the sideline reporter. Clueless was never spelled out more appropiately than the look on his face.

I am hoping one of these coaching positions as a clock management specialist that you have lobbyied for becomes available one day

I get it now.

The 2 mistakes are:

1.  Not calling the TO with 26 secs.

2.  Messing it up with 1 sec left.  He should have run a play to try and score.
