Alabama and the hook

What do you guys think about Bama -13.5 -120 (w/the hook)?  I've been on a terrible run this college football season   I'm new to this forum and just looking for some friendly advice.  T

The hook is not the way to go.  It is a money maker for the books.  You are paying an extra 10% for a half point.  If a half point is that critical for you, you should not be playing the game to begin with.   Hook players are normally losers who have no faith in their selections and are looking for "insurance".  I always try to find hook players for my private wagers because I know that these are the players with little or no faith in their abilities.

I totally disagree with Bigdaddy. Buying a hook has absolutely nothing to do with capping abilities, it has to do with being smart. He obviously doesnt wager real money or he would know this.

I won on Florida St. last night.....woo hoo !!  Thought it was over after the first half.

I'm looking at Friday's game and the Saturday card now.  I'll be back in a little bit to see what people think of the selctions.

Yeah, I probably should've waited on this game.....there are much betters games to be on....But that's too late I'm locked in at -13.5.

It's simple, Tennessee is going to try to expose the Bama secondary which ranks 23rd overall and stay away as much as possible from that 5th ranked rush defense..  On the other side, Bama will try to pound the ball all day long....probably 35-45 times.  If Bama can contain in the secondary and cause a couple turnovers....I see no reason why Bama can't win this game 31-10.  I agree with you Swamp, Tenn does have an above average defense......But I do hope you're wrong on the result
