yes im a husker fan and this may be a homer pick
yes i am cold as ice right now picking games
yes i can not be talked out of this bet
 
 
Mizzu got carved up by nevada on the ground, Neb rb Helu is a beast and will run for 150+.  Neb front 4 will pressure Gabbert without even blitzing and Bo Pelini will have somthing on D the young QB hasnt seen before Pelini is a D guru.
 
Neb should be a top 8 program, they dominated va tech for 58 min unitl a blown coverage cost us the game, your telling me a top 10 program cant go to mizzu and pretty much get a W???
 
Take it for what its worth like i said i cant pick a game to save my life in college right now but im putting it all in right here and rolling with the skers

Neb - 1 for me, they are just the better group this year in my opinion, but I hate Thursday Night road chalk, never an easy obstacle to overcome

Look, I don't know shit about the Big 12, but I will say that when the 22nd ranked, 3-1 Huskers are favored on the road against the undefeated, 4-0 Mizzou Tigers, after last years debacle, it's blatantly obvious what the play should be, Nebraska -2.5 to the bank.

Nebraska performance at Va.Tech looks better each week.
 
 
I think Gary Pinkel is a very underrated coach and I am impressed with the Mizzou program.

All I know is a top 10 VTech team could not block Suh...the guy looks like a terror......good luck with that Mizzo.

your 100% correct this is a homer pick, but i hate trends, the games are played on the field, i could care less what happened the last 3 years 2 totally diff teams this year/week, totally diff outcome

now that being said i cant pick a game to save my life so  gl whichever way to deciede to go

i partially agree with you about trends, but some of them are inevitable, tuesday night unders, thursday night home dogs, monday night overs in the NFL last year. i probably won't have a play on this game, there are too many unknowns in this game, specifically at the qb position and i'm not so sure about mizzou's defense.

I didn't make a play on Va. Tech/Duke.  The only play was Duke after the big win vs. Miami the previous week

Last 3 trips for the Huskers to Columbia...41-6, 41-24, 41-24...all Tiger victories.  As for Suh...they blocked him just fine last year and expect much of the same this year.  With MU's quick passing game he will pretty much be a non-factor.  As for VT..their offense is attrocious and all NU did was stack the box and force Taylor to beat them..which of course is the correct play against the Hokies.  They won't be able to do that this week against MU, or Gabbert will eat their mediocre secondary alive. 
 
As for Nevada "tearing up" Missouri's D...you must not have watched the game.  Kapernick is a much more mobile QB than Lee so MU has to account for him in the running game which is something they won't have to do against the Huskers.  MU held Nevada to 218 yards rushing...yes the same Nevada team that just rushed for over 500 last week and has one of the best rushing attack in the country.  As for Nebraska's running game.  I don't get why people think it is so great.  They are 9th in the Big 12 right now in rushing...so pardon me if I'm not too concerned.  MU's D plays a bend but don't break style trying to keep big plays to a minimum and forcing teams to go the length of the field..and given the Huskers red zone offense against the Hokies I think they will be kicking more FG's than getting in the end zone.
 
MU wins this one by double digits...odds are 41-24
