Serious Question about Jevan Snead I'd like to discuss

Why are people ripping on him everywhere?
 
I don't know about everyone in general, but I saw this kid make some serious throws, runs, just serious bigtime plays last year, he has one bad game(His team Won btw) and people are just ripping him a new one.
 
I just don't get it, I am a South Carolina fan BTW, just wondered whats up and what your guys take on this is.
 
I think the kid has got major skills, and will look like a stud in future games. I watched alot of his games last year, kid is a star, I watch a ton of SEC usually bet a ton too. Saw him make sick throws on the run, saw him make sick runs. Hes a fine QB

he is a nice QB, but people are probably ripping on him from watching the OleMiss/Memphis game which was nationally televised and he was sloppy and made some terrible decisions, he played bad on the national stage after getting hyped by ESPN all summer, that is what people still have in their minds, if he plays better against SCarolina on National TV then people will easily forget about the Memphis game
.

He'll shake it off, as all good QB's have a bad game or two during the season.

Snead had the flu vs Memphis, as was revealed after the game.  Even so he came back and had a great 4th quarter.  Snead still struggles with consistency.  He can look very bad at times and often throws the ball over his receivers' heads when he gets pumped up.  He is better late in games than early, as he often sucks in the first half.  A tough kid who will not quit, but just not consistent all the time.

i dont understand all the ripping against snead.  He led his team into fla , lsu and TT(cotton bowl) and performed at a high level against 3 big time teams.  I think he might have thrown 1 int in all those combined. The pros have evaluated him and said he could be top 10 this yr (hes a junior).  I have watched all of the rebels games with him at qb and i will tell u this, i will take him over any other qb in the country( ok maybe tebow is tied) but that says alot.  My 2 cents.

Sorry, he can be good at times but NOWHERE NEAR as good as you think he is, regardless of what the NFL draft boards say.

seems  to  me from  watching the Memphis game  that for most of the game, every pass was a timing pass going to the sidelines. for three quarters, I dont think he attempted one  pass over  the  middle.

I personally just think he is an average QB.. I don't get where everyone thinks he is so great....

Jevan Snead is a stud QB no doubt about it. He transferred from Texas because he was unlucky McCoy just took off from game one and thus kept the starting spot. Jevan never really got a look in.
He's started slow this season, much like a few of the top QBs, but is due for a massive game and I am expecting it to be this week at SC.

The delicious irony in all this is that he transferred from Florida because Tebow was supposedly better and then he transferred from Texas because McCoy was supposedly better.  And yet he is projected to be a higher pick in the NFL draft than both of them.

 

Snead is a lot like Matthew Stafford.  Not always the best looking QB every Saturday, but has all the right tools to be a good-great QB in the NFL and has the scouts drooling.

I dont know  if he  actually transferred from Florida to Texas,  I  am  pretty sure  he was  recruited by florida and  may  have  even  signed an intent letter, but I am pretty  sure he  never  enrolled at Fla.

So the draft boards dont know anything, i (who follow OM) dont know anything, but u who seen him on tv once or twice knows all about him. LMAO

I don't understand your  point.  Snead was  recruited by Florida but he went  to  Texas and then  transferred to Ole Miss.  I  have  seen  him play, but I still dont  get your point.

The draft boards are based on his great finish last year and his arm strength plus his athleticism, intelligence, etc.  I personally like him and hope he has a great NFL career.  I just think he is inconsistent right now, especially early in the games when he overthrows receivers.  I doubt if you have seen more of his games in person (or on TV) as I have.  Except for a couple of games when I listened to David Kellum on the radio I have seen them all and plan to see at least 10 this year in person and will watch the others on TV.

Snead has a habit of  dropping his shoulder when he  throws and  the  ball  sails  on him.  When he comes over the  top with  his  delivery ,  he  is more  accurate.  I  think it is reasonable to  expect him  to perform well on  Thursday.   USC 's  pass defense
will get  tested by solid  QB and solid  receivers and no doubt, Nutt  will come with a solid gameplan that will  try to   keep  the  USC  defense off-balance.  
 
I  think Ole Miss will  try  to keep  the  game open while  USC will  try  to  keep it low-scoring.  USC has a  better  chance of  winning  a  lowscoring game than a  high scoring game. .. my opinion.

He has the potiential to play on Sundays.  He does tend to make some over-throws, but some good coaching can work that out.
