WAY WRONG......most all his work goes to putting out hands down the best CFB newsletter(s) ......with by far the best write-ups with predictions..(NFL too)...the fact that he markets the hell out of it does not take away from the content ......his newsletter (and free picks)......usually stay at around 60%.......underdog picks of the week usually hit.......(all this goes to print SUNDAY nite) .......

It is all Northcoast Sports. Steel founded the company, and they use his name. Are you that naieve to think that he makes every selection? Do yourself a favor. E-mail other Tout sites, and find out the truth about Steele. They will tell you the truth. Do you mean to tell me that you just found out about this? How long have you been 'capping? I find that extremely difficult to believe.

My two cents is this, I buy his college mag, which I feel is great. The stats., trends, articles gives you something to think about. More info then anyone else I have found for the money. Also if you go to his site there is other info. BUT handicapping means you take in more sources then one. The reason I like covers is because of the different thoughts and ideas that people have. Yes sometimes people start in on the hating, but when there is good constructive crittism ( sorry about the spelling) back up with reason, then any post or blog can be used to help one handicap there games. GOOD LUCK TO ALL

I wouldn't buy his picks, but I bought his newsletter (Powersweep) the last 2 years. He does a good job recapping the last weeks games, and previewing the current week. That is worth the money right there IMO. His college picks have been a little better than 50% (he always is too loyal to his "surprise" teams). His pro picks have been close to 70% the last 2 years. Last year, his system selection started the year 11-0. The newsletter is around $100 but you get around 19 or 20 weeks.

Thorpe: I checked out the info about power sweep and what I don't like is you can only access it twice a week or 10 times a month! I know they are trying to deter people from sharing or selling their info, but I'm not going to digest all the info in 2 sittings per week.

bigeast, whodey - hopefully the season goes better than the green bars
there's an interesting article on phil steele from cleveland plain dealer - if you go to his site and then go down to what others are saying and click on plain dealer - looks like he writes a lot of his own stuff, has plenty of knowledge of the teams himself, staff of 30 to help with massive operation and 3-7 to chart, watches a lot of games himself and drinks 9 mountain dews before noon
