Florida State @ N.C. State +11.5:
Looking to take N.C. State in this one.. Florida State has given up a total of 60 points in their last two games, against Miami (FL) and Colorado. While Ponder has shown great improvment, N.C. State has a pretty good blitz package, i think they'll be able to pressure Ponder into some mistakes.

Major Trends Head to Head:
Seminoles are 0-6-1 ATS in their last 7 meetings.

Completely agree with the NC State play just way too many points for Florida St. to cover...like where your heads at this week..on the other side on Oregon St. and Troy though normally don't like a big public play like Troy is going to be but if that line goes under 7 I'm going to jump all over it bol
Akron too I think will be too much for Eastern Michigan

BYU @ TCU:
A pick 'em game?!?!?!?!? The 9th ranked team in the country in a pick 'em game against an unranked team.. smells alot like a trap to me. but other then that, I think this is the best defense TCU has faced all season.. Their defense is great against the run and great at creating turnovers.. I think they should be able to keep this game close enough to have a chance at the end.. which is good enough for me to play..

hawaii +25 @ boise state
normally i stay away from hawaii games, as they are my favorite college team, seeing as i am from hawaii.. Hawaii is riding a two game winning streak, while Boise is looking to stay undefeated to keep their hopes of a second BCS bowl bid alive.. Hawaii is a terrible road team, and i'm pretty sure Boise won't turn the ball over 6 times like Fresno did... Boise is an extremely well balanced team, able to both run and pass.. Southern Miss moved the ball well against Boise, but their drives were stopped on fourth down several times inside Boise territory.. Hawaii's defense is starting to hit its stride, becoming what many people thought was gonna be one of the best defenses in the WAC. The offense is starting to get comfortable as well, they've cut their turnovers down and have been moving the ball better..That being said, it would be awesome if they won, but i don't think it'll happen. however, i think they'll be able to cover the 25..

Wassup Oahu Bro?  I see you did fairly well this past week.  Well let's break the books again this week.  I am leaning your way on NC St. and also leaning on BYU (though the line does look fishy).  Keep me updated if you get some inside info bro.  Talk to you laterz my braddah!  Keep it Real Bro!

good luck

saw your post in another thread about usc 1st half, but the game is even sweeter!  wsu will not backdoor, they wont even score!  might as well play the whole game too, if you think usc will cover halftime, say 35-0, what makes you think they cant score two more touchdowns to cover the game?

i think they'll ease up in the 2nd half.. play their 2nd stringers against WSU's 1st team.. which USC still might dominate.. i just feel that the half is the best play..

those teams have won me some money though.. utah state two weeks ago against byu, smu against tulane couple of weeks back, iowa state and kansas as well..

i'll probably end up keeping one or two, most likely iowa state and UNLV.. i usually place my bets on thursday night or friday, based on how i did on the weekday games.. plus, i like to look at how the public is betting and how the line is moving..

that BYU/TCU line is really fishy though.. public is on BYU, yet the line keeps dropping... i really really think its a trap..

Iowa St is lookin good at home.
Texas Tech outta whoop A & M, they suck
I like Arizona to beat Cal
Navy to pull an upset
Louisville is scary giving 14.5, stay away imo
Hoping Texas moves to -6.5, I will jump on it then

well, thats my 2 cents. you might have talked me into Hawaii. good job last week, and gl this week.

Wake Forest @ Maryland +1:
Wake Forest is coming of a big win against Clemson on national television. Maryland on the other hand is in an opposite spot; they come into the game with a huge loss to Maryland and are looking to regain their winning ways.. Maryland has a pretty tough defense, as does Wake. This, to me, means a tough close game, which the spread indicates. I think Wake might look ahead a bit to that big showdown at Miami the next week.. I'm also concerned by the lack of ability for Wake to score TDs.. they always seem to bog down inside their opponents territory, not to mention i'm not sure if Swank is playing this week..

Major Head to Head Trend:
Demon Deacons are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 meetings.

Miami (Ohio) +9.5 @ Bowling Green
Miami (OH) has shown great improvments in their games so far on both sides of the ball.. I think that they'll be able to slow down the Bowling Green offense with some of the best LBs in the MAC.. Offensively, they should be able to get their run game going, creating a balanced attack against BG..

Major Head to Head Trend:
  • Redhawks are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 meetings in Bowling Green.
  • Redhawks are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 meetings.

thanks for the input bro.. i jumped off that Louisville game.. I've won alot of money betting against them this year, in their game against UConn and against Kentucky to open the season.. although they took some of it back in the K-State game a few weeks back.. I think TAMU will keep that Texas Tech game close.. Last week's overtime game for Tech is either gonna be a big motivator, or drain them for this weeks game.. still doin some research on that one.. I think Cal will come out strong in their game with 'Zona, especially after climbing back into the rankings..

good luck this week

Fellow 808ers:  I'd like your opinion on the Penn/Michigan game.  I believe Penn should cover but I would appreciate your thoughts.

Thanks and GL

thanks donthate808, glad to be on the same side of you in the NC State game.. as for the BYU game.. TCU has the number 1 defense in the nation.. defense wins championships.. at least the Mountain West Championship...

best of luck to you phancard and fathomable.. I really wonder how that LSU team is gonna bounce back from their 1st loss of the season, especially with a new qb..

heresbigego, welcome to covers, haven't seen u on here b4.. i like the fact hawaii has a winning streak.. that does wonders for their confidence, not to mention gives a bit of motivation to them as well..

clifffie, whats the line on that penn/michigan game? i'm too lazy to look it up..
