Have to agree with you on this point to some degree, St. Louis won't go 108-54 this season, which is the current pace. I could see the Cardinals putting up 95+ wins fairly easily though and if they go over 100 I won't be shocked, regression could be minimal if the starting pitching continues to do well. Cardinals have 9 games left with Milwaukee, who I am starting to think is a strong competitor for worst team in baseball.

I am with you on ARI, but then again I took them last night too. Two young pitchers battle tonight so you never know what you are going to get. I just hope ARI gets the better of it. Good luck to us!

Are you joking about the D-Backs being a public dog today??
NoI was not joking, I don't rely on the Covers consensus numbers to go by this as I do not trust those numbers. I use numbers I find elsewhere but at the end of the day who knows if they are to be trusted as well. With that all said the numbers I do use along with just plain eyeballing posts at this site and others have since evened out somewhat and since posting have now gone from showing 65% backing the Dbacks to 52% backing the Dbacks and I am also on the Dbacks myself played and posted after I noticed the numbers start to even out in a hurry. As I stated in the post, I was not suggesting it was not a winner, simply suggesting that this dog was backed very well by the public at that time. People posting random monopoly money picks with little if no thought in covers pools don't mean a whole lot to me. We all have our own avenues. Goodluck to us with the Dbacks tonight
The lion and the tiger may be more powerful, but the wolf doesn't perform in the circus.

I have followed Wacha at AAA and love his stuff. Still quite a bit raw in my opinion when it comes to pitching instincts and selection.
I faded him in his first start, but I forgot the great Yadi was behind the plate for him. I was hoping he'd take his one game suspension tonight, but he's in the lineup. Not to say Dbacks wont win, but I cant back Skaggs in this spot either.

If not, then I guess I'm on this public dog. I took +150.
That's the Bator I know. But, to see you laying -150 on Mil +1.5, and Balt. -170, and talking about the LAA at (- very big), I am worried that you have been taken over by "The Invasion of the Body Snatchers".
Was there a strange looking "pod" at your doorsteps this morning?

It is true both rookies looked good in first appearances, but the Rangers hit lefties far better than the Cardinals do, and Wacha faced a stone cold Royals lineup.
Now and then even a BLIND squirrel can find an acorn

68% of the public on the Cards......How can you say Zona is a public dog?
I am assuming you got that number from the Covers monopoly consensus. I found different numbers elsewhere that pertain to actual cash. Also since the lines for this game came out the Cardinals have become 10 to 15 cents cheaper everywhere you look so if the public is backing the Cardinals a that heavy of a clip then we have some very big players everywhere backing the Dbacks acrsoss the board to make the line shift in the opposite direction that drastically and steadily, steadily being the key word because steady line movement in a certain direction suggests public money coming in as opposed to big money suddenly being pounded down, which would create a sudden sharp drop. So if 68% are backing the cards why did the Dbacks go from +150 to +140 in most places?? Just obvious reverse line movement? ...Perhaps.....I hope so because i'm on the Dbacks. Anyway this line of thinking does not decide winners, the game on the field does and that is what I went with in backing the Dbacks tonight.

Since responding to these guys I am now nervous as hell about my Dbacks wager tonight

Really?
I didn't have the Angels last night. I briefly considered them, but then quickly realized that only madmen were going to be picking a side in that matchup. As for the Brewers play......I lay juice on +1.5 runlines all the time! Another one I had last night was the Marlins +1.5 -145.
The -170 juice on the Orioles in the 1st 5 innings was a Lucas Harrell-inspired bet. I won that one despite Harrell pitching respectably for the Lastros.

Hey.....I'm sorry I said anything. You gave me winners on Baltimore 2 different ways, Milwaukee 2 different ways, and finally Arizona!
