Red Sox-Rays F5 Over 4 (-115) FG Over 8 (+100) (Doubront / Cobb)
I don’t know who drove down the opener of 8.5 but I sure appreciate it. That fellow probably figures the Red Sox won’t hit Cobb and the Rays can’t hit at all, but that ain’t the case. Maybe he figures Joe West behind the plate will hold the score down, but Joe’s form does not indicate that. The Red Sox sticks are hot enough to hit Cobb at least a little and contribute something, but the Rays versus lefty is really good. They are 8-4-2 in the 5 inning game and have an offensive era of 5.5 per 9. Versus a relatively poor lefty like Doubront that pace should continue.
