Had a good weekend, hoping to keep it going.
Just one play I'm locking in now for line value:
ATL ML +132
The books put this game at the top of the list for a reason. Public perception of the Braves is low after they got swept by Detroit, and for whatever reason the name Strasburg still carries weight. Strasburg is a great pitcher but he's lost 4 starts in a row and his bullpen blows. The Nats bullpen ranks 20th in ERA and has blown 4 out of 11 save chances already. The Braves bullpen? In my opinion they're the best in MLB with a major-league leading 1.96 ERA and only 1 blown save to date. They also lead the league in home runs allowed with only 1.
The 6-2 home team with the best bullpen in the league is an underdog to a 4-5 road team starting a 1-4 pitcher only because of public perception. As over-used as the term "value" is on this site, this is as good as value gets.
