I follow this Jays team close and yesterday was a huge win for them. The pressure on this team to start the year has been immense and they've really struggled to put it together and seemed to be pressing a bit lately especially with the sticks.
Yesterday they were down 6-1 in a rain delayed game in the freezing cold in front of about 100 fans. They could have easily called it a day with their early season struggles but they hung really tough and worked every pitcher Detroit threw at them and they eventually came all the way back and won. Just a big "weight off our shoulders" game for them. Bautista came back healthy, Encarnacion woke up, and Cabrera finally has been hitting the last couple of games. That game yesterday was worth much more than 1 win to this team and I think they play a little looser today and roll that momentum over.
There are weather concerns and if the game is delayed the starters will probably be pulled. Toronto has the better starter but in all honesty this is a game where I don't think it matters who is pitching.
