I mean how many more breaks can a team get in the postseason. As if the S.F. Giants haven't enjoyed an abundance of bounces and breaks todate in the baseball playoffs, low and behold they continue getting them tonight in game one of this year's World Series.
I mean c'mon, 1-0 Giants, 2 away, bottom 3 and the batter drops one down to third and the ball miracously hits the inside of the bag at an angle which in turn pushes it back in towards the infield allowing the batter to gain a double when all is said and done. In the end that bounce leads to 3 runs and a 4-0 advantage. Un-be-lieveable!!!
Now I hear Zito has just punched in a run to make it 5-0. In addition the Tiger batters are called for going around at thew plate while the Giant batters conversely get the calls in their favor, those being the batter didn't swing.
Sometimes destiny plays a part in sports but in this case tonight, it's not dxestiny but rather a stone cold case of the bounces, and every one of them, going the way of the San Fransisco Giants.
Btw, the announcer and his side-kick can retire anytime soon as far as I'm concerned. They might very well be the worst two broadcasters I have ever had the unfortunate luck of listening to while watching a postseason series. Wondering if by chance either or possibly both of them live anywhere close to San Fransisco?
