But everyone usually hammers the Yankees yet it's an even split, I feel like I'm missing something

#5 Posted: 9/6/2012 12:08:20 AM Tough call, this is his return...with the situation of 1st place and WC so close he might give a solid start like Saunders...if so this could be a close one...I can see Phelps cracking under the O's hot bats that and the O's more times then not bounce back from a loss..last time they didn't bounce back from a series loss was 07/28 against the A's...my lean would be O's....but still lurking.... |

This is the third time the yankees will be seeing him this year, probably will be on a pitch count and the yankees make you pitch more then any other team in the bigs, I can't see him going more then 5 innings

#10 Posted: 9/6/2012 12:55:08 AM Cal Ripken statue debuting tomorrow night...biggest home game at Camden Yards in who knows how long...teams heading in opposite directions...hard to see why the Os would be an underdog tomorrow if the Yankees are significant dogs to Alex Cobb two days prior |

The O's have a run differential of -21, that's why it's not too hard to see

#12 Posted: 9/6/2012 1:28:45 AM The NYY is a good pick tomorrow...
They haven't been at there best as of late..
They have a higher expectation then most teams...
There win last night was big against Tampa.. Great close out in the 9th innining... I expect there bats to come alive a little better down the stretch.. The pitching match up is in our favor... I'm not a NYY fan but a betting fan... The smart money is on the NYY.. They should be able to win back to back games lol! Let's hope for a good out come... GL!! |

#13 Posted: 9/6/2012 1:46:30 AM baltimore at the moment is better offensively and bullpen is almost even, as well as a slight advantage in recent games. this game will have a playoff atmosphere |

#15 Posted: 9/6/2012 3:44:54 PM The Orioles have been outscored 46-11 in 3 blowout games this year. Take away those games and they have a +14 run differential |

#17 Posted: 9/6/2012 4:03:35 PM loving the orioles tonight..i put them as the final game of a three team parlay late last night and they were at+100...the o's are hungry, streaking, and at home in a huge game with playoff implications....i would be completely shocked if they were to lose

#18 Posted: 9/6/2012 4:03:49 PM Sharpdiamond, its "their," not "there" when referencing teams and their streaks, etc. Kinda hard to take someone seriously talking about "smart money" when they cant even spell. |

#19 Posted: 9/6/2012 4:20:33 PM games in MLB often start to be chaos after all-star break. esp. in August, September for wildcard race, division title race, etc. this game is perfect match, i mean there are so many unpredictable factors out there. Bombers had been cold, Orioles have been so hot, but think about it. current Orioles know how to win games. they have no solid powef hitters such as Pujols, Hamilton, but overall they have won many games lately. Jason Hammel will pitch, well.
if i were you, DEF would stay away or small play for fun. maybe OVER can be good because these two teams know how critical this series are so a lot of pressure is on them, which means we CAN EXPECT some errors committed by them.
a few days ago, Angels - A's matchup seemd unpredictable, but i DID have some confidence Angles could win that game for solid hitters, slumping A's hitting pace. now, really tough one, i wouldn't be surprised at any result, OVER, UNDER, Orioles ML, Bomber ML. be careful dude, these two teams are way way beyond prediction based on game preview, stat, Sabermetrics, etc.

#20 Posted: 9/6/2012 4:38:16 PM Baltimore will win this.
Yankees are not the team of old that people remember them.
Baltimore can straight out hit and with this being the biggest game in how many years @ Camden yards Orioles WILL Show up !!!!

#21 Posted: 9/6/2012 4:44:08 PM Yankees love hitting at Camden. Maybe this trip will turn them around. But they've been playing so poorly and not getting the "big hit". No need to make a play just because of a small card. Stay away. |

#22 Posted: 9/6/2012 4:47:45 PM Not to mention Hammel was pitching pretty damn good this season before getting hurt and Phelps is an average starter who won't give you a long outing. |

#23 Posted: 9/6/2012 4:49:00 PM Since August 4th, the Orioles are 8-1 off a loss, with 7 of those wins coming by more than one run. The Orioles -1.5 +185 has my blessing.
