#1 Posted: 8/10/2012 8:58:05 PM It sounds crazy but I see this as a great spot for ARZ. Everyone is scratching their head wondering why the almighty Strasburg is only -117. This ARZ team continues to be undervalued in the public's eye and they are charging for a divisional or wild card berth. I am fully aware that the 1st game back from a road trip is not an ideal spot, but can you really say this is a GOOD spot for WSH? They are coming off a 4 game sweep of the ASSStros...can you say let down? Another interesting fact to consider: WSH have won 6 games in a row 3 times this season, each time failing to win a seventh game. And let's not forget Cahill is the one taking the bump today for Zona..GL

#3 Posted: 8/10/2012 9:02:08 PM cheers doc. Cubs was a burn. I still feel it was the right bet. Plenty of runs and even Germano wasn't terrible. Just fundamental errors that no pro team should commit.

#5 Posted: 8/10/2012 9:16:26 PM I dont know about this bud...Zona coming off a almost 2 week road trip. Flew back home from Pittsburgh...relaxed with their familes...majority of them got laid. Not sure how they get up for this one....at least early on. Nats are not really scoring runs very well. So I see a pitcher duel tonight
Under is the play here with a slight lean to the Nats (better starter and bullpen) |

#7 Posted: 8/10/2012 9:22:16 PM Stras is gonna wanna pitch another gem (like his last outing) to show the management they are making a mistake shutting him down early. He doesn't wanna be shut down, and the only way he can voice his displeasure is on the field throwing gems.
Arizona returning from a long road trip, they also do better against lefties not righties
on the Nats ML, but as always bol on your play

#8 Posted: 8/10/2012 9:25:39 PM I think it's more like the 'mighty' Nationals as opposed to the 'mighty' Strasburg. Heck it doesn't matter who it is on the mound for this team, they have been winning. Don't forget however that 3 of the 4 wins against the Stros were decided by one run, with two of them coming in extra innings. So the wins didn't come quite as easy as it sounds or as they appeared to come against Houston. Bol tonight. |
