--Weaver (10-1, 1.96) is making sure
he’s not passed up for the AL Cy Young this season, stringing

appearances. The Halos’ hurler gave up just one earned run in his
27 2-3 innings heading into the break.
--Beckett owns the Rays with a 10-4
career record and 2.82 ERA versus Tampa Bay; Shields has been pounded
for 41 hits and 17 earned runs in 26 2/3 innings over his last four
starts
--Villanueva, though, has made his last
two appearances as a starter, striking out 13 and walking one in 11
innings while going 1-0 with a 2.45 ERA. On the other hand, Lowe has
been awful away from Progressive Field during this stretch, going 0-4
with an 8.88 ERA in five starts.
--Braves 1-11 in their last 12 home
games vs. a left-handed starter (Santana today).
--Gallardo is 7-2 with a 2.23 ERA in 12
career appearances (11 starts) against Pittsburgh. And Braves are 10
and 1 Gallardo's last 11 starts vs. Pirates. But Pirates 12 and 0
A.J.'s last 12 starts vs. Braves!!!
--Chicago is 10-1 in its last 11 home
games against National League teams; D-Backs 1 and 7 last 8 games in
Windy City.
--Twins are 14-2 in Duensing's last 16
starts as a home favorite.
--Against the Reds, Westbrook is 3-1
with a 3.75 ERA. Bailey gets the start instead of the scheduled
Johnny Cueto, who developed a blister on the index finger of his
pitching hand during a bullpen session. Bailey has won two straight,
but owns a 2-6 career mark with a 5.72 ERA in 10 starts versus
St. Louis.

@fourthandinches - If you had bothered to even look it up, Burnett pitched for 7 years in the National League at the start of his career for Florida
I did not bother researching Burnett's record against the Brewers but to act like this is Burnett's first year in the National League is absurd. Before you bash someone make sure you have a clue as to what you are talking about

Thanks, folks. I just get the facts from reading Covers' previews. Sorry about the "Braves" for "Brewers" gaffe. I think I deserve a mulligan since I remember when it was the Milwaukee Braves.
Reading the previews has helped (I got into doing it since MLB.com is offering a million to anyone who can pick all 15 winners on Tuesdays and Fridays). If the last 4 games stay the same, and St. Louis wins tonight, I'll be 11 and 4 for the day.
What steams me is I meant to go with Gallardo and picked Pittsburgh instead. I'm sure you've been there, done that!
