#1 Posted: 7/13/2012 9:43:20 AM How we feeling about this day game fellas?
Looking at it my lean is the Cubs. Ian Kennedy is actually better on the road than at home, so maybe the Under is the play.Paul Maholm has been lights out his last few starts and the cubs have been playing better baseball with Rizzo giving them a shot in the arm. Playing at Wrigley during the afternoon, I think i like the Cubs in a 4-2 victory.
What does everyone think? This is just my quick analysis. Doing deeper digging soon. |

#2 Posted: 7/13/2012 10:03:55 AM Those were my original leans as well, but last time Arizona play Maholm they absolutely tee'd off on him. Something to the tune of 7 earned in 3.1 innings.
I'm still leaning Cub/Under, but not as strongly.
If I have to pick one, I might go under because I think the break disrupts the hitters timing a lot more than the pitchers. I am adding a few extra points to all the unders in my analysis today for that reason.

#5 Posted: 7/13/2012 12:01:37 PM Okay guys, some of you may remember me from college basketball, i have yet to make any official MLB plays this year but I'm locking in the Cubs for my first official covers play of the year.
Paul Maholm has been great his last 2 starts and solid at home with around a 3.30 ERA. Kennedy is a fly ball pitcher and the warm breeze at Wrigley this afternoon could take some deep balls outta the park.
The Cubs are 8-5 in their last 13 games and have infused life thanks to Anthony Rizzo.
The Dbacks had lost 6 straight before winning the final 3 against the Dodgers before the break. The Cubs while bad are not awful at home sporting a 19-20 mark while the Dbacks are 19-22 on the road.
With the slight roll that the Cubs are on and the way Maholm has pitched recently and at home.
Give me the Cubs.

Sparky - Thanks! Let's go CUBS!
Huskers - Yeah, my initial lean was the under, but looking at Kennedy as a fly ball guy and the weather in Chicago. I'm leaning over now! |

#10 Posted: 7/13/2012 1:29:56 PM You got those Cubbies at +105, they're now +120! If you still like 'em I'd suggest hitting them again at +120!

#16 Posted: 7/13/2012 1:57:17 PM I am a Cubs fan and I'm on the Diamondbacks. Kennedy > Maholm and the Cubs bullpen is always worth a fade. |
