Veteran Joined: May 2011 Posts: 4036 Location: Ontario	#1 Posted: 5/25/2012 2:09:17 AM YTD:41-60 (40.5%) Royals [17-26] @ Orioles [28-17] Royals Away Record: 12-9 Orioles Home Record: 13-11 Pitching Stats Bruce Chen ( L ) W-L 3-4 ERA 4.17 WHIP 1.20 Jason Hammel (R ) W-L 5-1 ERA 3.12 WHIP 1.14 In Kansas City’s last 10 games they have an overall record of 4-6. After a couple of bad starts Bruce Chen has started to find his form but I still feel like the Orioles will get the best of him tomorrow night. The Orioles are currently hitting .344 overall off Chen with the likes of Adam Jones, Nick Markakis and Robert Andino hitting .400 or better. Baltimore has been hitting lefties well [.265] and they have currently won there last 3 starts against left handed pitchers. Last week the Orioles faced the Royals and won both games scoring a total of 9 runs. Bruce Chen has struggled on the road as he has only won 1 of his last 5 road starts. Since 2011 Kansas City has only beaten Baltimore three times. On the flip side we have Jason Hammel who has only had one loss so far this season and has won both of his home starts. The Royals are currently hitting .239 overall off Hammel [11/46] and although it isn’t the greatest sample size it is safe to say they have struggled against him. The Orioles have gone 6-4 in their last 10 games with losses coming from pitchers like Nova, Startsburg and Buccholz. This team has really started to click in my opinion and they have been hitting the ball well too. Kansas City Royals Trends: -The Royals are 4-11 in their last 15 games during game 1 of a series. -The Royals are 7-16 in their last 23 games following a loss. -The Royals are 3-7 in Chens last 10 starts on grass. Baltimore Orioles Trends: -The Orioles are 15-3 in their last 18 games vs. American League Central. -The Orioles are 17-6 in their last 23 games following a loss. -The Orioles are 9-3 in their last 12 Friday games. -The Royals have only won 11 of their last 38 games on the road against Baltimore.
