They have been swinging the bats really well lately and Samardzija has been a pleasant surprise for the Cubs in his first season as a starter, boasting an NL-best 0.81 home ERA This will be Samardzija's first start against the White Sox after going 0-1 with a 2.45 ERA in three relief appearances against them a year ago. Cubs are 6-1 in Samardzija's starts compared with a 9-22 mark with anyone else on the hill. They have scored 6 runs in four of the last 5 games Humber hasnt been great since the perfect game but his last outing was pretty good. Humber has pitched 7 innings vs Cubs with a 0.00 ERA and Samardzija has only pitched 3.2 innings vs Sox and has a 2.45 ERA Sox coming all the way home after being on West Coast for a day game, I find it hard to put money on the White Sox right now especially with Samardzija on the hill. Damn Cubs BP scares me though, maybe I will do Cubs 1st 5 innings

CWS, on average, is an old team and if travelling time is not killing them then the jet lag might. Do you have any information on the wind factor? You know that CWS always aim for the long ball! If Samardzija can hold them down, I do expect him to do CG.

What the white sox are going up against their crosstown "rivals" at a packed crazy house and they're going toto say "ooh, I'm tired. I'm not ready to play." Yeah okay. This game can go either way it all depends on Humber throwing strikes on the corners. if he has that going then this is anybody's game low scoring. on the other hand, it's a perfect day here in Chicago. you'd think these teams would sack-up and hit the ball a little, right? if boths starters are on it plays under, but if it's spotty to the sixth or seventh and they have to come out on high pitch counts, then this guy is going over. kind of hard to lay the price on the cubs given they are a last place team and you really don't know what they'll do.
