I am going to really concentrate on this division because that is where I watch the most baseball... I also am not going to lay juice higher than -150 with any of my plays - because that is what I believe in
1 - 0 YTD posting... Yesterday we were right on with the Sale vs Indians game...
Here is what we have today - 2 plays today
Detroit vs KC (Verlander vs Sanchez)
Yes Verlander is on the mound. And that is an advantage. But, the real advantage for Detroit here is with Sanchez on the mound for the royals. He is averaging 1 walk per inning. In the first outing Detroit was chasing pitches and did not take advantage of Sanchez control problems. I look for Detroit to be VERY patient today vs Sanchez after he is coming off and outing vs. Cleveland where he walked 7 guys. Yes Cleveland only scored 4 runs - because as noted in previous posts - they dont hit lefties. I think Detroit takes advantage of this. So the play today is on the Detroit lineup vs sanchez - not so much Verlander.
Because I will not lay more than -150... They play is the Run Line - -140 -1.5 for the tigers....
Cleveland vs Chicago (Tomlin vs Humber)
Phillip Humber did get ripped in his last outing against the Red Sox. As I stated yesterday, the Cleveland Indians are a whole different team vs Right Handed SP - that is Humber. BUT, delving into the splits a little more - does this really give the tribe an advantage? The projected lineup tonight is hitting a career .291 vs Humber 11/35 - but those hits are coming from low level starters. Hafner, Brantley, Santana, and Cabrerra have not set the world on fire against Humber. Humber this year is actually pitching better against lefties than righties - lefties are only hitting .170 off of Humber. Advantage Humber.
The Indians have Tomlin on the bump who has only given up less than 4 runs in one start - vs the lowly Mariners. He has not been rolling the ground balls that he needs to keep the tribe in games. Advantage White Sox.
Bullpen - the White Sox in a close game has some of the toughest lefties out of the pen and as stated yesterday - Cleveland simply can not hit left handed pitching. Already 2 - 0 vs Cleveland this year - I look for another White Sox Victory.
The Play is White Sox -125
GL today - and hope you guys enjoy the write up... Also, note that I am doing this on my phone so grammar sometimes will not be the best
