       TEXAS RANGERS ML

      ***Derek Holland Over Max Scherzer***

I feel that Holland has overcome past pitching problems and has become a solid member of the Texas Rangers pitching rotation. He earned a win in Game 2 of the ALDS and is 6-0 in his last 7 starts. I know that Scherzer has pitched well against the Rangers in Detroit but on the road his numbers are not the same. This year in Texas, Scherzer pitched 5 innings, gave up 8 hits and allowed 5 earned runs. Not only that but Scherzer pitched in relief (Threw 32 pitches) on Thursday against the Yankees and after 4 days rest has the task of dealing with the offense of the Texas Rangers. Magglio Ordonez and Delmon Young will not be in the line-up for the Tigers which makes this play even better.

Scherzer pitched in relief (Threw 32 pitches) on Thursday...

This could very possibly be a major problem because not only did he pitch in relief, but he threw many of those 32 pitches in the upper 90's, some 5mph faster than his "normal fastball."  In other words, he "let it all hang out".  How can this possibly NOT affect his next start?

Just found out  that Delmon Young will be back in the roster which seems like a big gamble to make by the Tiger's manager. The kind of injury he had usually takes weeks for recovery and he is expected to play within days. This should most certainly have an affect on his performance at the plate.

Im on the Rangers RL..But Delmon Young is in the line-up..In the postseason your allowed to replace an injured player with anyone on your team even if they aren't on the roster anymore. But in doing that he wouldn't be able to play in the World Series if they were to make it. Get your facts right bud.. Anyways he's going to be playing LF with his oblique injury..How can he possibly last?
