Phillies/Cardinals Game 3

I just saw the line posted and my initial instinct is that the Cardinals at +115 is great value.  Hate going against Hamels but Jaime Garcia has great numbers at home and vs the phillies.  Most those #s vs phils were before pence and u have to assume mayberry who crushes leftys will be in the lineup but i still like my chances with pujols and berkman to go along with a couple lefty crushers in craig and freese.

I havent seen any threads on Game 3 yet and would like to hear some opinions before locking in a bet.

Whats everyone think?

I think Phillies loses both games at STL.

Safer bet prolly the under.  I'm a Phils fan and don't think there is any value with them as a fav.  Hamels is a big game pitcher and has great career numbers against Hamels.  History says Garcia gems.  Feels like a 3-2 nailbiter that can go either way

wow i think that line is just the opposite!....i believe it is great value for the phillies!....dont see cards winning another game in this series....but wierder things have happened!!

STL has dominated the Phillies in the season series this year. LHP's have done much better vs. Philly this year. Garcia is 2-0 with 1 ER allowed in 15 innings vs. the Phillies this year. The Phillies have a sub .500 record vs. NL playoff teams this year. Garcia is a phenomenal home pitcher in general. I think the Cardinals take this game with extreme confidence. I have $500 on it!
  • Cardinals are 9-2 in their last 11 home games.
  • Cardinals are 4-1 in their last 5 games vs. a starter with a WHIP less than 1.15.
  • Cardinals are 10-1 in Garcias last 11 home starts vs. a team with a winning record.
  • Cardinals are 18-3 in Garcias last 21 starts vs. a team with a winning record.
  • Cardinals are 4-0 in Garcias last 4 starts vs. Phillies.

i think you throw out all trends with playoff baseball but thats just me.. carpenter dominated the phils before last start.. and lee was 94-1 with a 4-0 lead.. but BOL
