a solid spot for the A's....no home sweep and Cahill always pitches well against the Rangers.....play the A's or cry in the towel

I swear I see some kind of post like this at least once every three days. Usually, someone is saying ride harden tonight he will pitch a gem, but he never does and the A's are flat out terrible. Why would anyone want to ride the A's?

Man, I remember someone posting about a trend where Oakland has never been swept at home by the same team twice in one season for the last four years....well, or something like that. Anyone knows?

Not sure if this will matter but C. Lewis has lost to the A's all year...

  • Rangers are 5-0 in the last 5 meetings in Oakland.
  • Rangers are 6-0 in Lewis' last 6 starts vs. Athletics.
  • Over is 7-0 in Lewis' last 7 starts vs. Athletics.

Rangers are deadlocked with Detroit for whether they host the wild card or travel to New York to open the playoffs. I think that is a hell of a lot more motivation than "last game at home". Reality folks, reality. You think the A's care about Oakland? Do any of them live there in the off season?
