up a G in 7 days then down 3 franklins in one night

does this happen to a lot of people? does anyone have any advice for this? i would have been a little better if the rangers or sox could have scored 1 more run, i had the over 10 so i got a push. i lost yankees over by tailing, david price -1.5, and red sox to win. i lost the cubs/pirates over 12 early in the day which i figured would be a huge bust. i missed easy angles like mets and tigers (verlander is fuckin awesome, it's like a promise that you should bet on his games.)

well my point is, last time i got up a G i blew it in a couple days. my units right now are $50 and $100, mostly $100, and maybe $200. any advice would be welcome, thanks.

when you win.. lower your units.. when you lose lower your units.. try to make a profit each day.. when you lose, make it a goal to get back those losses...

if you fall too deep, then stop, take a break and come back.. there's always another day my friend... good luck and take it easy, the best way to gamble is to make a profit each day, and learn to swallow your losses..

and of course never get greedy when you win, just play with profit...

my advice would be to flat bet a percentage of your bankroll for every bet, no matter how much you like the game

IE $1000 bankroll, lets say you use 2% as your units to flatbet each game, which would be $20

If your bankroll goes up to $2000, your 2% is now $40...if your bankroll goes down to $500, your 2% is now $10

It's a good way to manage money and make profit in the longrun

How ever much your bankroll is just bet 2-3% of that. Learning money management will help you get through your rough patches without burning your bankroll. Try to be more selective on the amount of games you play. Not sure how many games your playing a day on average. Just grind it out and think of it as a long term investment. GL im sure you will get some better advice but theres a few ideas for you.

this is kind of what i expected. i started with $100 and betting $20. if i listened to 2-3% rule i would have only been betting $2 a game. never would have got up to $1000. i do try to make a profit every day, so i will look into that one. i think i need to cut back on my number of bets, but sometimes i need to capitalize on easy plays. i think i need to be more decisive. i love getting up to the grand mark, and i think it can really explode from there. i just need to keep my nose pointed in the right direction and crush a few plays and stop looking at square bets. and another thing, any tips for figuring out college football when you are 27? i used to have a good feel for that one but it's like i know nothing about most of the teams anymore even though i knew baylor and the over were good bets last night. they just kind of stood out to me. today, a game like northwestern vs. boston college, i literally know nothing about. thanks for listening guys, just trying to open a discussion about clever ways to learn about sports.

I'm kidding obviously. The advice above is what I'd be saying too. It's called gambling because there are no sure things, despite how confident you may be. It's better to play smart then greedy. I'm seeing on covers that a lot of people lost out on money last night. I had a rough day but I still came out with $2.90 because I followed my designated units and didn't try and chase when I saw some of my games flop.

I personally believe you should have atleast 20 units minimum in your bankroll when starting. 5 losses could have put you out early. It's not a sprint its a marathon

yeah i know, and i&#x27;ve lost it before doing that, but i somehow always manage to get up a few hundred dollars at least before i go back down.  i think i have a problem with taking money out of my account so that i cover the initial investment.  like i said i get up maybe 6-7 hundred then somehow lose it in a couple days or a week.  i think if i got up 6-7 hundred then took out 3-4 hundred i&#x27;d make a profit plus cover the initial.  i have no problem losing a hundred stack then reloading, i just think the process of taking money out is so dumb.  although my new book does have WU transfers, are these any good?  they must be same day and they are probably free, so what is the downside to this?  everyday i say to myself let&#x27;s get this paper, and i think that&#x27;s what i keep on having to do.

For you to say that you could never get to $1,000 betting 2% of your $100 - that's an idiotic statement in itself. If you can't get to $1000 betting 2% what makes you can think your $1,000 into $10,000 doing the same thing?

Any goal is reachable. Just imagine not withdrawing for 5 years and betting 2% of your bankroll year-round on every sport you think you can make money off of. You could turn $100 into a house no doubt.

i see what your saying, but that would just take too long.  i&#x27;m more about getting to a grand as fast as i can.  using that, getting several grand.  i don&#x27;t want to bet $2 a game on some shit.  the minimum is usually $5 or $10 anyway.  i can get this way faster using bigger units.  2%, no thanks.  i just won $50 on ohio state which was like 10% of my bankroll.  and if i was smar i would have bet $100.

just took red sox -151 for a hundred, red sox/rangers over 9.5 for a 100, and cin reds/stl cards over 9.5 for a hundred.

back up over 3 hundy today some wins and some losses these won but i lost a little on other mlb games and did good on college football. good to be back up over a G note, try to keep pushin it tomorrow and keep the steam going.
