Oscar's MLB Thursday Selections

RECORD TO DATE - 63-23-6  +$6508

CAUTION:- I have had one of the best weeks that I can remember so far as in the past 4 days in the bases I have went 63-23-6 for a profit of $6508. There is absolutely no way that this will continue but hopefully when the losing day comes it won't be a disaster. Either way, I am enjoying the ride right now and will be buying something nice for the family with some of these proceeds. Here are my selections for today and remember that many of these games are early afternoon starts:

958 Washington -1.08 $216 to win $200 & Washington Pick -1.10 1st 5 Innings $220 to win $200 (Lohse vs. Lannan)

959 NY Mets +1.12 $150 to win $168 & NY Mets +1.12 1st 5 Innings $150 to win $168 (Dickey vs. Minor)

961 San Francisco/Arizona Over 8 1/2 -1.08 $540 to win $500 (Vogelsong vs. Kennedy)

963 Baltimore/Toronto Under 9 Even $150 to win $150 & Baltimore/Toronto Under 5 Runs -1.07 1st 5 Innings $160.50 to win $150 (Guthrie vs. Stewart)-Stewart's numbers are Double A are not intimidating overall but he has pitched well in his last 3 starts recording a 2.37 ERA and striking out 17 batters while walking only 4. Earlier this week everyone was counting on the kid from San Diego to get blown out and he performed well. Often teams keep prize prospects at Double A because believe it or not the competition is stiffer, I'll take a shot on the Under here as Guthrie is pretty solid as well.

Just a correction to point out and that was it was only a $100 wager on the Under 1st 5 Innings in the Texas/NY Yankees game so if you notice a discrepancy there it is.

A 9-5-1 night for a profit of $246.50 but somewhat disappointing as my big play on the Arizona game had no chance to go Over, bad call on my part. It's hard to complain though with a winning day and I did have a $200 winner in the WNBA and picked up $299 bucks on my US Open picks which are being posted in the applicable Sports forums here on Covers. On to Friday and Interleague Play resumes.
