Question of the Day: How many times has Carlos Marmol blown a bet for you?
Last week against the Astros, after the Cubs managed to score 3 runs in the bottom of the 8th to take a 3-1 lead i thought my RL was in the bag.Enter Marmol= it was my first and it will be my last time it will happen staying away from the cubs for the rest of the season.

I like the plays but the cubs I cant trust. The cubs are so unreliable and will get hammered today by the reds today imo. But good luck on your plays.Submit

A did not like the article. I think the only thing in there that was significant was talking about how terrible Kobe was in the 2000 playoffs. It proved your point on Shaq was the man.
As for Lebron he has not played to his potential in this series. He has not played like a superstar on both ends of the floor. When you are suppose to be one of the best players in the NBA it is true you should dominate both sides of the floor. Now three games into the finals he has not domiated one game. He has looked like an ordinary player.
Sure Jordan would pass to Paxson, but to try to compare the two is insane. Jordan never disappeared in the 4th quarters and yes he did play great defense also lol So, to argue the guy is playing great defense so that is ok is hilarious. Honestly he is playing more like Pippen. That is what Pippen did play great defense.
I think a better article would of been how James is a Pippen in this series. If you want to talk how he is just playing great defense and team ball that is Pippen.
I think why most people are saying that about James is because he is not the man. When he was with Cavs and went to the Finals he played like a beast the whole time. He was unbelievable. We do not see that now because he has Wade and Bosh. So, that makes it really hard to be the man every game. However, I do not think anyone could argue this is not the same James who took the Cavs to the Finals. He does not have to be to win, but that is what everyone wants to see.
I think a lot of people also forget how great Wade is and that he basically won a finals by himself. So with two players of that caliber on the same team it is different for Lebron now. He does not have to take the game over. He can play more team basketball. If Wade went down with and injury I am sure you would see Lebron taking over and putting up a lot of points.
The same thing happened to Kobe really Shaq was the man in those early championships. Kobe did not have to dominant and they could still win. Eventually Kobe had to be the man and he put up some great performances and carried his team with clutch shot after clutch shut.
No matter how great you are and if you are a superstar you still need help from your role players to win. Jordan, Kobe, and all the greats had role players that hit big shots. That is how you win a championship. Paxston, Kerr, Horry, and Fisher off the top of my head I can remember hitting big shots or Jordan and Kobe would not have all those championships they do.
Had barrea stepped it up and hit those wide open shots we would be talking about Dallas being up 2-1 in the series.

hey, SJP, bol today have had an up and down last month or so in MLB myself, but had a nice pickup on Mia +2 and ML last night. The last couple of series, they tend to have an OFFFFF night, get smacked around, then come out and pretty much dominate the rest of the series... so it was a fairly easy decision on which way to go last night. Will be interested to see how they respond the rest of the series... bol as always

Whenever the Cubs bullpen blows it, I just blame him whether he pitches or not. He's at fault for everything that goes wrong for the Cubs.
