don't have much time for posting for the time being, so we're just going to keep an ongoing thread of one side and one total per day (given there's the board and quality plays for it). record will be recorded throughout this thread as we're going to use it to monitor our targeted goal of 60%. going to be including four key stats and/or trends under the picks as to why they appealed to us and will also be recapping each day with an updated record and a few thoughts about what went on. each play will be to win two units and that will never change.
note -- we will be including a third play each day for pucku27's contest at the bottom of our post. our two official plays will always be default submitted and you can consider our third play as a lean or a value play. his contest can be found here.

just a heads up, can get the royals total at a better number now:
8:10pm: kansas city royals OVER 8.5 -102 »davies has an accumulated ERA of 9.65 against cleveland this season and the indians are hitting a shocking .551 off of him »the royals rank 26th in the majors with the 5th least double plays grounded into while ranking 1stin the majors in stolen bases
not sure why the movement on this play but we'll take the lower number with no problem here.
good luck to everyone!

it's safe to say that vin mazzaro was on the same side as us tonight as the indians cashed that total extremely easy while the brewers play was tight all game but marcum got out of some jams and got us the win. the only blemish was the 3rd contest pick as we weren't able to play the +1.5 runline with the astros and they lost 3-2 to the braves and it ended up being fool's gold.

deja vu of yesterday where our over play comes down a half run. can get the reds over at a better number now and going to add a few more key statistics:
7:10pm: cincinnati reds OVER 7.5 -112
»garza posts a road ERA of 5.95 and teams are hitting .312 off of him while volquez posts a 6.65 ERA at home and has been relieved before the 6th inning in five straight starts »the reds lead the majors in runs per game and their games have averaged 9.7 runs on the season »the over is 15-5-1 in the reds' last 21 home games »the over is 4-0 in the cubs' last 4 games following a loss
once again, the movement is confusing here as both pitchers get themselves into trouble. can only hope the outcome is the same as last night.
good luck gents!

just like yesterday, the total we were on initially came down a half run but we'll gladly take the winners at +money. it wasn't necessarily as easy as the indians/royals one as pena got us started with a 3-run shot in the top of the 1st and then the game slowed down a ton. volquez's at-bat with the bases loaded and 2 outs and the chicago's fielding on the ensuing play is what got things going again. our other play, the tigers, was rained out along with our 3rd contest pick.

not going to release a total just yet because there's a few lines that aren't out and don't want to use our lean now and miss a play because we rushed it, discipline! as of now, we're looking at indians/whitesox OVER 8.5 at +109. call me superstitious but it looks like our totals the past two days -- posted at +money, comes down .5 runs in the morning and still goes over. 5/18/2011:
10:10pm: los angeles angels ml -134
»the mariners are 3-13 in vargas' last 16 starts »the angels are 6-0 in weaver's last 6 starts against the mariners »seattle is hitting a major league low .199 average over their last eight games »over those 6 starts by weaver, he's posting a 1.05 ERA while allowing just 26 hits in nearly 43 innings
MLB 2011: 3-0 100% UNITS ACCUMULATED: +6.48u THIRD CONTEST PICK: rays ml+120
given that i can only imagine how public this angels play will be, going to include a few more stats here that really sold us and made this one impossible to pass up:
»the angels are 39-16 in the last 55 meetings, including winning 13 of their last 15 against seattle »ichiro is hitting just .190 off of weaver since 2009 »the angels are 8-1 in weaver's last 9 starts with 4 days of rest »while vargas posts an impressive 1.99 ERA in 3 road starts, it rises to 5.34 in his 5 outings at home »the angels are 21-7 in weaver's last 28 starts versus a team with a losing record although we see two pitchers coming into this game with completely opposite streaks, we're looking for the angels, and weaver, to get back on track here. best of luck to everyone and we'll post the total this afternoon!
