4.2 era last year and 14 losses. Surely will be overvalued this entire year. Had 1 amazing year. Just my opinion but I think Marcum is the better pitcher

cmon man greinke pitched for the royals if he was in new york or boston he would won 20 most years, the kid can pitch he will do well for milwaukee, brewers problem is where are the bats with that lineup should be scoring some more runs

I actually disagree. I think Greinke will post around a 4.5 era this year. Just my opinion though. We will see how this year goes for him

Can't expect a stellar outing from a pitcher coming back from injury. 1 start does not define a player.

Surely doesn't but if we are referring to your thread on aces, I dont believe Greinke is an ace. One year doesnt make you an ace.

I dont think he would have pitched as well in the AL East...

But I think that he will pitch better in the NL when he gets back healthy....  It is going to take a few more starts though... He is in Spring Training mode right now...

By the way since I created this thread I might as well post my night plays in it.

Pineda ml -120 I don't care how impressive Pineda has been early on, a rookie is a fucking fav against the WORLD SERIES runner ups with there ace (on the depth chart at least) on the mound? Give me Pineda ml

Tomlin ml +120 Tribe are rolling and my boys can't hit. Give me Tomlin ml

I agree. I don't think he's an "Ace" either. He had that 1 incredible year and has been decent the rest of his career. But most pitchers who transition to the NL produce and he is a guy that I feel can really BECOME an ace on this staff. But as of now...he's not one.

Agreed. In terms of betting though I think he will really do bad for his backers throughout the year. Imo the public thinks of Greinke as an ace for that one AMAZING year and backed him in the AL even with that terrible Royals lineup last year. Transition to the NL with a lineup that consists of Braun, Fielder, McGehee, Weeks and Hart and he will be backed a lot this year. We will see how it goes. That is the fun of being baseball fans aside from just being gamblers

He's still a very strong pitcher, this was still spring training for him.  He's in his prime age wise and is switching to the NL central.  But I think he has a 3.80 Era and around 13 wins (Half will come against the Pirates and Astros alone), 170 K's, which is a decent number 2 guy on most teams.

Agreed a decent 2 imo. But I think Marcum is the stronger 2 here if we are saying Yovani is the ace

Yeah and Gallardo is really good, but still a fringe ace.  In terms of the team, yeah he's the ace of the staff though.  The Brewers have 3 very good #2's.
