JUST HAVEN'T SEEN A 41-40 AT JULY FINISH AND PLAYOFFS AS WELL TAKE THE WORLD SERIES EASILY.

Would be cool to see a true " world series " where Giants play the champs from Japan.

Overall they are not the best team on paper that's for sure. It's just that they got hot and the right time when it mattered the most.

It occassionally happens in all sports where the overall best team doesn't win a championship and a team no one gave a serious chance to win ends up winning the championship.

You do not have to be the best, just the team that wins the WORLD SERIES this Year.

They went 11-4 in the postseason and put on one of the greatest piching perfomances in playoff history.  Thats how!  No respect for this team, they didn't get it during the playoffs and their still not getting it by some. Why are they the worst team to win it all? Because you don't follow baseball closely enough to know some of these guys?  They won 92 games this year in a pretty tough division.  The Phillies won 5 more regular season games.  What about St. Louis in 2006, they finished 83-78 and went on to win the world series??? Was that team a better champion?
