I'm here to help the good people of covers.com make a little cash. I've been solid in bases and NEVER lay over about -140..most times I'm looking for the best value at plus money...time for me to share the wealth.

I agree with trying to not lay over -140 for sure but basically you are just taking a -200 FAV at the RL. And the RL doesn't even have that much value. KC has quietly gone 7-3 in the last 10 while SEA has gone 4-6. No one wants to believe it but KC is hot and can put up runs (just not yesterday hahaha)
Obviously, this could hit just like any bet on any day but these are my two cents

I agree with your assesment of the Royals to a degree. They can score and they are 7-3 in the last 10 but the trick to winning at baseball is to estimate how they'll play in the next 10. They aren't good enough to continue to win 7 of 10 over and over and most teams will find their way to what they truly are.....This play is more about Felix vs Bannister. A major mismatch. That said as scary as it is to play Seattle on the runline, it's just as scary to lay -200 with ANY team because you're always one bad bullpen appearance from a disaster....no pitcher or team is worth -200 in my opinion. I don't usually take High moneyline plays and just play them on the runline......I go through a pretty extensive list of criteria examining all potential wagers including first 5 innings. If people just want heavy favs on the runline they can visit that runline blitz thread or whatever it's called.

I agree...I will never ever lay -200 on any team. There is no reason to do it. On any given day there is value to be found. There is no value in -200.
In regards to KC, I take the series win against the Angels (at home no less) as an indication of what direction they MIGHT be headed in. Only time will tell...

That's what makes baseball betting a challenge....Look at the other day when both Jimenez and Carpenter got their asses handed to them....how many people couldn't wait to get their money down on those guys at -200+?

yeah no shit... I layed off the COL game but i had my money on the Brewers. Unfortunately i had money on the Crew yesterday as well. That being said, for those two games i went 1-1 but +.8 units. I'll take it every time. If i had bet STL on both i'd be 1-1 but -.43 units...
I think we agree on this shit

The same people who can't wait to play Seattle -1.5 + money thinking they aren't laying -200.

As for my previous posts...thanks for your concern...I was pretty naive about covers back then. i thought if you found something that was worthwhile...you share it with others....boy what an idiot i was.
I'm not here promoting anything so think what you want....I just know a lot of people have sworn off baseball and are getting killed and I know I can make people some money .

If they are not worth the risk to lay 200 what makes them better at minus1 1/2--Now your asking them to win by 2 with possibly only 8 at bats if they lead by 1- in the 9th and as you said above
what about that shaky bull pen--it doesn't make the bull pen any better when you lay the 1 1/2?
good luck to you today tho
