Seattle Mariners vs. Texas Rangers Play of the Day

Another Play of the Year winner two nights ago with the Detroit Tigers winning.  Nothing was too exciting on the card yesterday, so it was a complete pass.  No system plays today either which are now 10-0 on the year...only 3-0 posted on covers.  After research on today's card there is an absolute no-brainer here on the board that I am not passing up.  Feel very strongly about this game...it is NOT a system play, but a personal play that I love...we'll call it my Play of the Day...Solid Play.

 

Texas Rangers +106

 

Sprinkle a little on the reverse RL, Texas -1.5 (+200)  Good Luck everyone

Since this is a personal play for me feel free to ask questions about the game and I will explain my angle...little different then getting the play from my system, which I can't really explain!

Cliff Lee getting a short price like this looks very enticing to the average bettor...

A little research though will show that Cliff Lee struggles against the Rangers, and struggles even more in the Ballpark in Arlington. 

 Meanwhile, the average bettor thinks Feldman sucks, but in all reality has righted his ship from the struggling start he had to the season.  He pitches pretty well at home, considering it is a hitter's ball park, especially when it heats up.  He also has pretty solid numnbers against the Mariners.

Lee's last 5 starts have been AWESOME... 37 IPS... 3.11 ERA...0.98 WHIP and 37K's...

Im guessing it that Feldman is 1-0 this year with a 1.29 ERA  and 3-1 lifetime with a 2.67 ERA

Even more reason to look at post #10 in this thread.  Look up Lee's numbers against the Rangers hitters, in the Ballpark in Arlington, etc.  Then look at Feldman's numbers, and his history in the ballpark, and how he has improved lately.

After seeing this thread, I went ahead with my instinct and bet Seattle.  I know that Lee's stats haven't been good at TX ball park, but so what.  He has a lot to prove.  A big contract, his team is losing, and he is paid to win and stop losing streaks.  He is back from the injury he had earlier in the season.  I expect Ichiro, bradley and some other key players to tee off today on Feldman.  I expect the max of 2 runs off Lee, and SEA can easily get more than two.

Some people just dont do the needed research...instead they go with numbers overall as a whole, or they go with household names...

 

Granted, I could be 100% wrong tonight with the Rangers, but I think this is a great play tonight.  GL and thanks for bringing the stats in...I dont like to post it for everyone...people need to start looking for themselves.

GL...I think instinct is a good thing to go with.  Your entilted your own opinion, and you can do whatever you want...which should make us all thankful.  GL on your play...I'll just be on the other side.

i know the season opener was in Seattle but...................

Lee (3-2, 2.91 ERA) faced the Rangers in his Seattle debut on April 30, allowing three hits and striking out eight without a walk in seven innings, although the Mariners lost 2-0 in 12 innings.

And yet his numbers against the Rangers overall as a whole are brutal, even after that start...

 

Seattle and Texas are completely two different backyards...GL...there is so much value in the Rangers at home here...way to good to pass up IMO...GL though

Again...all these recent stats, starts, etc for Feldman point to the fact that he is not good this year...and on the other side you have all the recent stats, starts, etc. for Lee point to the fact that he is very solid this year...but then why is this line so low?

 

Feldman has great value here in this spot against Lee...Rangers win tonight, but GL
