Royals/Tigers Over 9 EVEN
Risking 3 units to win 3 units
Alright...we've learned 1 important thing so far with these Royals. Their bullpen is GARBAGE. And I mean bad. They can't keep a lead to save their lives. Solution? Bet the over of course. And the best part about THIS over...is the fact that we may be seeing the bullpen early in this game. The Tigers' offense against Davies is unreal.
Cabrera .308 (8-26) 3 HR...4 RBI
Magglio .364 (8-22) 1 HR...3 RBI
Laird .333 (5-15) 1 HR...3 RBI
Guillen .462 (6-13) 1 HR...1 RBI
Inge .231 (3-13)
Damon .286 (2-7)
Everett .667 (4-6) 1 RBI
Raburn .500 (3-6) 1 RBI
Geez...not really a soft spot is there? On top of that is Austin Jackson and Scott Sizemore who both have been hitting the ball very well lately. As far as Porcello goes...in 3 starts against the Royals last season (18 innings), he had a 5.00 ERA. And the Tigers' bullpen isn't so automatic either. This may be a very entertaining slugfest that is worth watching imo.
Red Sox -124
Risking 3.72 units to win 3 units
The Twins had their big win on Monday. They opened the stadium on the right foot. Now...it's time to make their home record .500. The hitting differences against each starting pitcher is just obsurd. While the Red Sox OWN Slowey...the Twins are kinda weak when facing Lackey. Aside from Mauer (obviously) and Cuddyer...everyone else is basically subpar against Lackey.
Morneau .233 (7-30) 1 HR...5 RBI
Punto .143 (3-21) 1 HR...5 RBI
Mauer .450 (9-20) 2 HR...3 RBI
Hudson .263 (5-19) 2 RBI
Cuddyer .313 (5-16) 3 HR...5 RBI
Kubel .200 (3-15) 1 RBI
Young .250 (3-12) 1 RBI
Span .167 (1-6)
Harris .167 (1-6)
Now...Lackey was OUTSTANDING against the Yanks in his opening start. The bad part for him was that either Pettitte was equally good, or the Red Sox' offense was really bad. Time for them to repay him for his efforts and score him some runs. I think he can do that against Slowey who they have some pretty good stats against.
VMart .556 (5-9)
Scutaro .222 (2-9)
Cameron .375 (3-8) 1 RBI
Ortiz .333 (2-6)
Pedroia .333 (2-6)
Beltre .600 (3-5)
Drew .200 (1-5) 1 RBI
Youkilis .200 (1-5) 2 RBI
Alright...maybe it isn't as hyped up as I may have made it seeing that the power numbers aren't there and this is in limited at bats...but for the most part...it's 2 games at the least for these guys. I have high regards for the Twins this season but I think the Sawx get revenge here.
Cardinals -1.5 EVEN
Risking 4 units to win 4 units
Alright...I think the Cardinals run away with the division. That's my personal feelings about how the NL Central will turn out. With that said...this is a game that they have no excuse if they lose. The Astros' offense is the worst in baseball without Berkman. Now they're in a big pitchers' park with Penny on the mound. He was very impressive in his first start with the Cards...does that mean Dave Duncan turned his career back around 1 last time? Maybe so. Even if he hasn't...I still think he has enough to shut down this inept offense the Astros have, especially with the home crowd supporting him in, what I mentioned before, is a big pitchers ballpark. However...aside from the Astros not being able to hit a lick...the Cardinals dominate Brett Myers.
Pujols .310 (9-29) 2 HR...4 RBI
Lopez .286 (8-28)
Molina .294 (5-17) 1 HR...4 RBI
Schumaker .462 (6-13) 2 HR...2 RBI
Holliday .600 (6-10) 2 HR...4 RBI
Ludwick .625 (5-8) 2 HR...4 RBI
If that's not enough to convince you that this will be a blowout of epic proportions I don't know what will.
For what it's worth...I like the Angels but won't bet them because they were dead all game yesterday until the 9th inning. But all I know is this line is WAY overpriced. I personally think yesterday's line was a lot more accurate than this one is. Pineiro is better than Santana and Vazquez was dreadful in his opener.
BOL All. Have A Great Day. ![]()
