Hey Boys,
A friend just sent me tickets for the Dogers and Red Sox in June.
It got me thinking, will the fans in Boston Boo or Cheer Manny.
I am pretty sure I want to Boo but he did help break the curse.
Lou.

Nope. I've been a Red Sox fan since I was 7. As sure as the sun will rise, Manny will be booed. It will be a mix, but you will certainly hear some booing.
You have to remember, he dissed the Red Sox and their fans and the city of Boston when he left, and that was before the steroid allegations. Sure, he still has fans here who love him for what he did for us, but if you leave on those terms, they do not let you forget it. The only thing that might save Manny in Boston is at least he didn't go to the Yankees. Look at Clemens and Damon. Johnny Damon was fresh off the 2004 championship and an extremely popular player in Boston. He thought he was going to return to cheers and they booed him right out of Fenway Park.
Someone in the stands had a sign that read: "Johnny, you really ARE an idiot"

I remember Damon getting a standing O when he first went to the plate in Boston. Then, after that, they treated him like any ohter Yankee

I agree with numbers freak, probably a mixture of both with slightly more cheers.
As frustrating as it was at times watching Manny be Manny we miss his stick in that lineup...especially this year.

Ya, with Manny gone and Ortiz off roids that lineup has really lost its pop
